Test Questions
« on: March 23, 2004, 02:06:02 AM »
I'm going to give it a shot.  Thanks again!

Yes, I am quoting myself and thanking MsC again.

Converting to the site's specification took a bit of trial and error, but it's done at last!  This instrumental version of Quentin's Theme originally came from Criseyde's wav files (I couldn't find a [free] program that would convert a midi to a wav, but this worked perfectly), and the resulting ringtone sounds great.  To get the finished product, all you have to do is:

* Access the site from your phone at this URL: mbuzzy.com (you don't need the "www")
* Enter the buzzcode 178722
* Follow the prompts, and enjoy!

Okay, first, I wanted to put above to jimbo's orig. Current Talk thread.

I read all topics on CE (whichever is the last most current on).

Couldn't find it....so, undaunted, I tried Search again.

I un-clicked Robs/Luciaph/MemMas/Ben.ofReg and I put in last 365 days.

It took more than a few tries/tweeks, but, Hooray! First time it ever worked!!

Next, I see the topic I wanted, so I click on it, takes me there.

Next, I hit quote, then in my edit key, paste.
Then, I go back to Current Talk, paste, but I believe it's not exactly a quote (in the way I'm used to seeing quote).

I'd really like to be able to quote one board to another.

Thanks,

Patti

First of all, congratulations for mastering the search feature and for successfully cross-quoting!

All you really needed in your post was the link to the original post, so I also did some tweaking in that other topic on Current Talk.  The first thing I did was remove all traces of the 1st (MB/IB's) quote, then I removed all of the message text and replaced it with the title of the original topic.  I didn't touch any part of the other code.  So the entire thing in code now looks like this:

Code: [Select]
DS Ringtones for Sprint PCS Vision Customers
It now functions, in that other topic, as a link.  Did that help?
