You're both definitely on the right track - particularly you, ProfStokes. But with regard to something that you've said, I have only one comment:

I noticed that you've listed two months in the title of the montage (August-September 1968 ) and I remember that you did the same thing a little while back (July-August, 1968?)

Hmm...I know I've seen the double months at least once before because I remember thinking how unusual it was.  Could it have been June-July instead of July-August?
