and yet again just today passions mentioned BARNABAS COLLINS on todays episode on DIRECTV! I believe this is the 3rd or even 4th time BARNABAS is mentioned on the series. this time JOSETTE is also mentioned! here is the transcript.....
EDNA: ARE YOU OFF FOR A DATE WITH BARNABAS COLLINS?
TABITHA: 300 YRS LATER POOR BARNABAS IS STILL MOURNING THE LOSS OF HIS BELOVED JOSETTE. I'VE TOLD HIM TO "GET A LIFE" BUT SINCE HE'S TECHNICALLY DEAD ALREADY.......
EDNA:(chuckles)DO YOU WANT TEA OR COFFEE?
TABITHA: TEA

THIS is the Passions I loved.
When they did stuff like this, they enjoyed a 2.5 rating, around 3 million viewers.

They should have stuck with the "Dark Bewitched" format~~when they started doing stories about rape, incest, and tranny serial killers, the rating went down to 1.3
Now, they're off the air for good on Aug 11th.

Well, I guess we can count Passions writer/creator James E. Reilly as among the celebrity DS fans.

Hmmm - could it be that Barnabas has regressed back to "mourning the loss of his beloved Josette" rather than moving on as she'd instructed him to do and he certainly had been doing with the two Roxannes (1970PT and 1970/1840)? 

Then again, with Passions being an NBC affiliated show, perhaps all along Tabitha has been dating Ben Cross' Barnabas and not Jonathan Frid's.    Cross' Barn was never told by Josette to move on - hence Tabitha's remark makes perfect sense. Surprising that no one realized that possibility before.
