Finally watched parts 2 & 3 in earnest. I didn't walk away, fast forward or sleep this time. I didn't have to, it held my interest. The best I can say is that it was an interesting take. I'm not a Dracula connoisseur so most of it seemed like a fresh take to me, which is what made it hold my interest (the 2nd time around). You'll never find it on a favorites list of mine. My favorite thing about it was that Dracula came across as a human with a disease as opposed to a monster. And funny as it seems, it's what made the character so especially repulsive (unlikable) to me. I guess a vampire without a conscience is not my cup of tea anymore. Damn you, Barnabas Collins!
3 out of 5 stars.
Looking forward to your final review, MB.
