Well, he has admitted on several occasions that many of his shows have been inspired by DS.

As I watched I kept thinking how awesome a new DS series would be if it were done like the first ep of AHS this season - totally impressive.

As would I! Though I'm sure that his casting ideas alone would be enough to stir certain people into an uproar.

([pointing-up] Well, every time DS gets a new cast, certain people get into an uproar, and even before they see the actors in the roles, which is so unfair!! [snow_rolleyes] So, there'd be nothing new there as far as certain corners of fandom go...)
