Title: More Tarrytown/Fest Questions
Post by: CastleBee on March 14, 2016, 08:25:38 PM
I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation concerning travel to and from the airport (White Plains)...cab, shuttle, cost, reliability, how far ahead can/should I book...stuff like that. Basically, any info is appreciated.  As I mentioned in another thread, it's been 12 years since I did this and it was to and from another hotel.  [easter_grin]

Maybe Uber might be worth looking into. You can get an estimated price from their site/app without making a commitment. I used them once locally. They were very efficient and very prompt.

I use the car service at the airport.  It's pricey but quick and reliable. Best value if you can share a ride

Here is the bus info .
You would need to take the Rt. 12 SB from the airport to the White Plains Transit Center (WPTC). From there you would need to transfer to the Rt. 1W SB which will stop right in front of the Doubletree Hotel. Ask the driver for a free transfer when you board at the airport. You can call our info center at (914)813-7777, M-F from 8-4 or visit our website at www.westchestergov.com/beeline for times and scheduling needs. Or email us here.

I haven't been to the "events" in several years but this being the big 50th anniversary, and not a "cruise" or any of the other odd formats of recent years, I couldn't resist...

my ticket came in the mail today! # 320.
