Lara (Angelique) will participate in “Spectres, Spirits, and Spies – A Night of Spooky Storytelling” in Los Angeles this Thursday evening, Oct. 17, 7:30-9:30.
 
Lara says, “Hey, everyone! This looks like fun. Who doesn't like to be read a spooky story in the dark? I'll be reading from WOLF MOON RISING…. Come if you dare! It's a night of spooky storytelling at The Last Bookstore! Fourteen horror writers do their best to inspire your nightmares!”
 
Publicity: “Description: Fourteen AMAZING authors and performers will each present an incredibly spooky 5-minute piece in this fast, fabulous, joyous occasion! Special guests include Ken Page (voice of The Oogie Boogie Man in The Nightmare Before Christmas), Lara Parker (Angelique in the original DS TV series), world-renowned Halloween expert Lisa Morton, performance artist Ian MacKinnon, Theatre ARTEL founders Olya Petrakova and Bryan Brown, and MORE!”

The eclectic bookstore in located in the historic heart of downtown Los Angeles on the northwest corner of Spring and 5th St., across from the Alexandra Hotel.
 
Both are one-way streets: Spring St. runs south, 5th St. runs west. There are pay parking lots nearby and street parking should be free after 6:00 or 7:00, depending on the street. Nearest freeways are the 110, the 101, and the 60. The Metro Red/Purple Line stops 2 blocks away at the Pershing Square station. Exit the station on the Pershing Square side and walk 2 blocks south on 5th St. (cross Broadway) to the corner of 5th Spring.
 
“Wolf Moon Rising,” Lara’s 3rd DS novel, carries 5 concurrent story threads featuring Elizabeth (as a young woman), Quentin (in 2 time periods), Barnabas, David, occult investigator Nathaniel Blair (Nicholas Blair’s look-alike brother), Jackie (Angelique’s reincarnation),  and other familiar and new characters. 
 
As recent SG Updates reported, Lara’s 9-stop nationwide tour began on the book’s publication date, 8-20, and ended 9-14. On her trip blog, she shares all about the tour: visiting with so many enthusiastic DS fans, traveling on her own from city to city, working with enthusiastic bookstore staff and patrons, and more.

---- JERRY LACY IN UPCOMING MOVIES
 
Jerry (Trask) portrays “Windslow” in the Ion Channel’s romance film, “Holiday Road Trip.” It debuts 12-1 at 9/8c.
 
Publicity:  “A recently heartbroken pet supply employee” joins her company owner’s son on “a Christmastime social media tour,” not knowing “her remorseful ex-boyfriend” is trying to catch up and renew their relationship. 
 
Jerry’s son Danny has a small role as “Christopher” in the Ion Channel family film ALL  I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, premiering 12-15 at 9/8C. The story brings a magical holiday talisman to a woman executive who needs to “listen more attentively to others and put the group first.” (Publicity)
 
Recent SG Updates detailed Jerry’s starring role as “Doctor Mabuse” in the independent film of the same name. Co-starring DS’ LARA PARKER and KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT (Maggie), its world premiere was part of the Festival’s “DS Island Weekend” 4-27/28-13. All 3 of them, plus DS’ CHRIS PENNOCK (Jeb) in a new role, revise their characters in the sequel “Doctor Mabuse: Etiopomar,” shot early this summer.
