Eleanor, are you talking about the Quick Time box? That's what I see popping up alot on the board.
I imagine my question belongs on the testing board, but since the topic is here, I'll just go ahead and inquire: can the montages be downloaded? I use to do it all the time because they're so marvelous. I have an entire zipdisc filled with them. But I can't download them anymore, whether I'm using AOL, internet explorer or netscape. Is there a way to download them? It's been so long since I've been able to do it, that I don't remember anymore the last one I copied.
(It may be too scandalous to report on this Board, but I've read in several sources, starting I believe with the original KLS MY DS Scrapbook, that Roger Davis was constantly trying to steal the doughnuts Thayer David would bring to the studio to snack on. There's also a story about Thayer and Grayson's fondness for small red bananas, that I think Grayson bought at some Chinatown produce mart.)
Gerard, I think the MB put a block up to keep folks from downloading any of the images posted here. I forget the reason but I believe it involved bandwidth (you know, that weird thing programmers always invoke when they're doing something arcane they don't want us to know the REAL reason for). It may have to do with the DCP copyright, though, for all I know.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I JUST REALIZED WHAT I DID :-
(not to mention, I didn't know how to quote).
Midnite...go ahead and delete it.....
Patti
oh my gosh
Everyone complains about Maggie in this story, but don't forget, they are basing it on Rebecca. She's supposed to be mousy and timid and actually, given the life she's led, does show more spark than that. And, Quentin is supposed to fly off the handle over any suggestion of anything concerning Angelique. Sometimes in this story it doesn't always seem to make sense, but just picture it as Rebecca.
You know....given the number of Fests, books, groups, sites and what-not that DS has fomented, I'm astonished that a list of the dead, their manner of demise and burial places hasn't been published by now. Surely there's someone out there with the encyclopedic (not to mention obsessive) knowledge of DS detail to do it.
Most welcome character (the one you were happiest to see)?Quentin (whotta surprise)
Your favorite character in Leviathans, period.Angelique
Favorite duo (non-romantic)?Julia and Chris
Favorite romantic pairing?Don't have one.
Favorite minor character?Mr. Best
Most irritating character?Amanda/Olivia
Scene(s) you can watch over and over and over and...?Nicholas and Angelique reunite.
Most wasted opportunity?Quentin was BORING.
Best plot twist?Jeb turns Barnabas into a vampire
Creepiest moment or event?Audrey the vampire girl appears in Barnabas' dream
Which scene had you yelling at your TV screen the loudest?Barn's cavalier attitude after killing Megan
What moment made you cheer the loudest? The Underworld, peat moss, and Amanda ... 'nuff said?
Moment in which you most wondered, "What were the writers smoking?"Sheriff Davenport on his tombstone
Event or revelation that made you ask, "What were the writers smoking?"Peter Bradford is revealed to be Jeb's tormenter
Favorite quote?Julia: "See how bad a detective I am."
Favorite prop?The phallic Leviathan altar
Favorite special effect?Nicholas gives up the ghost (literally)
Least favorite special effect?Wiggles the Paper Shadow Puppet, for all those reasons
Ugliest outfit?Bruno's coat, and I'm still hoping it wasn't rabbit fur
Stupidest continuity error (the most horrendous job of retconning in this storyline)?Paul Stoddard's history is rewritten
What scene had you closest to tears (because it was so touching)? After saying his goodbyes, Willie returns to help his friends.
What scene had you closest to tears (from laughing)?Quentin pulls the sword on Sky, the pretty lamp crashes off-camera, and we hear the sounds of someone attempting to clean it up.
Moment or event that made your jaw drop the farthest?Jeb and Megan kiss (AAAAAAA!)
What nagging question were you left with? (Uh, try to narrow it down, please. )Did Mrs. Davenport ever get her antique tea strainer??!!
Finally, what was your reaction to the storyline the very first time you watched it?I stopped watching DS completely, got involved in after-school activities, and didn't look back til 1970 was underway.
waay cool
are THESE YaBB codes?
I figured people might enjoy it.
i have been patiently waiting for you to get rid of it. i haven't said anything because i was being patient and waiting to see. and just because folks haven't said anything doesn't mean they don't hate it.
