The slide of Collinwood shown at the beginning was backwards AND filthy!

Later, Bruno was choking AND carrying on a conversation.  (Pins in a doll to cause choking?)

Sabrina to Cyrus:  "Before I throw my arms about you and make a fool of myself, it is an engagement ring, isn't it?"
If it isn't, then immediately placing it on your left ring finger already made you look like one.

We got a kissless engagement scene between Cyrus and Sabrina, and Sabrina apparently wasn't at all bothered by it.
I hope she's not holding her breath to hear him say the L word--
Sabrina:  "I love it, and I love you."
Cyrus:  "I guess you know how I feel about you."

Thomas Findley and John Hart are dead in PT too.

In the end credits, Bruno wasn't given a last name and Gladstone wasn't given a first name.

Voiceover... slight pause before he, Selby?, attempted the word "dissolute".

Stroka

it seemed risqué  for the original DS.

Was the closeup shown of Collinwood ... new to DS?

A friendly reminder:  Please be sure to read the posts in a topic before adding your own.  Thanks!

I was actually pretty amazed that Lara Parker was shown in closeup in that nightgown.  Agree with Magnus-- she looked great, but it seemed risqué  for the original DS.

LOL, MB.  For once, I managed to get my hands over my dog's ears before Amy let out that scream.  Whew!  (Nancy B's appearance alone in an ep causes doggie to immediately leave the room.)

Was the closeup shown of Collinwood (with the tower on the right half of the screen) new to DS?

Cyrus to Chris: "It was Angelique. ... I saw her driving by the drugstore about an hour ago. I saw her through the window and I looked out and saw her, and I ran downstairs and called to her but she just kept on going."
--
Cyrus again:  "I saw Angelique. I saw her walking down the street."
So, was the Angelique-lookalike driving or walking?  I'm guessing his first statement was a mistake, because if Alexis had a car, then Quentin would not have offered to arrange for one to bring her back to town.  Not to mention that she could easily have retrieved her personal things, but as Lydia mentioned, the story required getting Alexis into Angelique's nightgown.

Cyrus yet again:  "As a matter of fact, let me quote from some Shakespeare, if you'll forgive a scientist for doing that-- There are more things in heaven and earth that can be dreamt of by your philosophy..."
It's not quite what is in Hamlet, but it made me smile because it reminded me of the famously disastrous production of the play that Pennock would appear in (though as Claudius) in '04.

The reactions to Alexis by the various characters are painfully reminiscent of 1795, when Vicki's reaction every time she met someone who resembled their present-day counterpart got on my last nerve.

Hee hee, Hoff and Alexis were heading upstairs while Quentin made a beeline for the liquor cabinet, but the view we got in the background clearly showed that they stopped midway and headed back down before the cameraman quickly repositioned his shot.

This was the final script officially written by Violet Welles.

Do rabbits care who feeds them?
Bunnies definitely form opinions about people.

And thanks for the screen cap of the bunny, MB.

Why did Ang want to fund Cyrus's work I wonder?
I like Chris' explanation for it:  "Separating good and evil; there's no doubt in my mind which of the two appeal to her."

What a difference in Chris Pennock. Love his Cyrus, who BTW needs to find himself a copy of RLS's Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.
Totally agree about Pennock.  As someone who occasionally will jot down quotes, one noticeable difference I see is how much faster this character speaks.

As for RLS' work, I think we're supposed to assume that Cyrus has not read it same as it's confounding that the RT residents of Collinwood speak of an animal that wears clothes and walks like a man yet not one of them connects it to the creature in The Wolfman that even has an identical fashion sense.

Magnus, I hope your health issues have improved for you.

A very cool leather capelet from Caiti Hawkins' collection is featured on the cover of this month's LA magazine (in today's LA Times), which is called a "singular sensation" as #1 on The Style List (p. 33).

An excerpt:  Ultimately, Hawkins circles back to her native Cali. "It reminds me of falling water," says the Topanga dweller. "This is something someone could wear out to the desert to do a rain dance for L.A."

Mom Lara Parker must be so proud.

Thanks for the link about the remake, jimbo.

A writer acknowledging the remake of TSW while ignoring the classic original-- is this an omen of sorts that Burton's DS movie will have reviewers citing that it's the first motion picture inspired by the series?  <sigh>

I am trying to remember if the cave entrance that leads to the Old House basement existed in RT?  I don't recall at the moment!

Yep.
Maggie ended up on the beach in #261 after escaping from her basement cell.  And in #782, Charity carried the purseful of soil for Barnabas by entering a tunnel at the beach and taking it all the way to the Old House basement.
Nancy B's just scared the hell out of my little cat Tori.  She doesn't like Nancy's screams!  LOL!

Cats don't like it either, eh?

The DVD warns that this ep "contains frequent visual imperfections."  I don't believe they were referring to the problems with wardrobe continuity... The opening scene was reshot with Maggie in different hair accessories and hairdo, and her pink dress has turned red.  And David Henesy has on a different shirt.

Ang appears to be back, chatting away casually with Q, bum bum bum!

And then the end credits spoil the illusion.

Quote
What's going through Maggie's head... her marriage was just a practical joke?

Good question!
