Perhaps we're going about this from the wrong direction.  Perhaps the problem isn't with the possible outlets for Dark Shadows, but rather with the people or entity that owns the rights to the show.

 One might ask what they are doing to find an outlet for DS.  Or might they have decided that the show needs to be shelved for an extended period in time before they attempt to bring it back to a new audience?

Maybe they're just asking too much money?

DCP is part of the problem, RaineyPark.
In the 1980s, KTSF TV here in SF CA declined to air the series because of cost.
Reportedly SoapNet turned it down for that reason.

A small cult show, which DS now is, can only ask for so much money,

Worldvision sets the price for syndication, not DCP.  :)
