Has there been any word on exactly WHERE the DS Fest in New York is going to be held next year?

I'm pretty sure I asked this question when the dates for next year were announced: how can they announce the dates if the location hasn't been booked yet....and if it's booked somewhere, why hasn't it been announced?

Anybody in the know?

Abbeymarch and I tend to dither  ?!?  :(  :)  >:(   ?!?     and will require as much time as possible to make up our minds about going!  ::)

I had time to dither yesterday and was searching the Net for August 2003 Conventions/Fests  scheduled in NYC and nothing came up for a DSFest as of yet. If they announced the dates then they have the place but where? And why the big secret?

If I knew where, I could try and get our local tour bus company to see if they could arrange a weekend bus trip for anyone in the area that was interested in going but I'd need a hotel name first.

I'll continue my sleuthing.

Why Jennifer....I'd be happy to have a certificate for $10 off a room at a Marriott!  Our favorite is the Boston Longwharf where we spent part of our honeymoon, 20 years ago next month!

$10 may not seem like much, but it would help there, where the room rate is currently somewhere around, oh,........$400 a night!!!!!  [shkdy]

Apparently,  it always has been and always will be a "big secret" until the very last possible moment...call it SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF!;)
It is a good day because I am still ticking!

I'm with you regarding getting my money back!!

We love the Longwharf because of the location.  Park the car in their garage and leave it there until the drive home.  Also, being Sicilian, proximity to the North End is required!  Of course,  last time we were there they were just beginning the Big Dig.....can you still get to everywhere from there?

Raineypark....wandering way off topic!

We've stayed at a variety of hotels in Boston but one of our favorite restaurants in the North End is Saraceno's on Hanover Street.  We were there just as the Big Dig was getting underway and it was a mess then. Check out the Boston Globe online and see if it gives you an update.

You could easily throw it in the trash not knowing. It does not appear important at first glance. Perhaps you did receive the letter and it was discarded?

That's possible it ended up in "file 13" as I call it, but no biggie!

To Jennifer,
Sorry about the incomplete post---I messed up. Anyway where on MV island is John Belushi"s grave? Would love to visit. We vacation there every year (Oak Bluffs). Next summer I want to be sure to visit the grave. I thought I had seen all there was to see!!

                                          Hopefully,  Misty

Misty, when that happens, just click on "Modify", and you can go back in your post and change anything or add more to it if you want, instead of starting another post. Just thought I would help.

Thanks for the info, Craig  Slocum, I made note of it because I'm good at messing up things when trying to post sometimes.  I appreciate it.
