[ecstasy]
Complete this phrase: "Samantha was in ecstasy when Gerard whispered in her ear that...!!"
-
He was ready to fill the open "Friends with Benefits" position.
-
Samantha, fox is a wild dame.
-
Perfect, patrick and Uncle Roger!! [a1f5] [thumbleft]
-
Temporary love's so bad but it feels so good! [hall2_wink]
-
[pointing-up] PERFECT!! [rofl10] [thumb]
-
Samantha Fox is one of my all time favorites! [hall2_kiss] [hall2_kiss] [hall2_kiss]
-
overly fussy hair turned him on
-

"♫ Touch me! Touch me! ♫"
There's nothing like a former topless model (on Page 3 of the British tabloid newspaper The Sun) who goes on to become a pop star!! [ghost_nowink]

Love it!! [toothy12] [thumbleft]

She's quite sweet in person.
-
([pointing-up] Good to know...)
-
Her autobiography is coming out shortly. I expect some major dish.
-
he couldn't even take a bowel movement without thinking of her
(thanks mb!)
-
(Apparently Samantha was brought to ecstasy by some odd things!! [nodassent] [lghy])
-
If John Waters had directed DS, we probably would have seen that.
-
([pointing-up] Of that I have no doubt!!)
-
I wonder if Waters is a DS fan. [snow_huh]
-
([pointing-up] I wouldn't be surprised.)
-
I had forgotten this when I made the post but I got to talk to Waters briefly when he made an appearance at a video store here about 15 years ago. I asked if there was anyone that he would like to put in one of his films someday. His response was either Meryl Streep or Annette Funicello. I brought up Frid's name and he laughed hysterically.
-
([pointing-up] Hmmm - that sort of a reaction can be interpreted so many ways...)
-
I'm sure that Frid would have gone anywhere near the early Waters films but I could see him in any thing from Hairspray on out. Maybe the Sonny Bono part in Hairspray. Frid and Deborah Harry playing opposite each other! The sight of that would have probably make me spontaneously combust!
-
([pointing-up] Well, then I guess we should be happy they never played opposite each other!! [wink2])
-
I suppose.😉😉😉😉
-
([pointing-up] As for Frid, I can't picture him in a John Waters film. But stranger things have happened, so who knows? [idontknow])
-
Just my opinion but I am not entirely sure that Frid would have "gotten" the Waters genre, the way that Tab Hunter did. Lara Parker, on the other hand, would have been a great choice for Serial Mom. Pussy willows, Josette? [evil-snowman]

(OMG, IF ONLY!! [stfl])
-
I think that Lara would have been as good as Kathleen Turner, if not better.
-
([pointing-up] Quite possibly!!)
-
It might have jump started her acting career.
-
It might have jump started her acting career.
(Sadly, we'll never know...)
-
More's the pity. She was certainly gorgeous and reasonably talented. It's a mystery that her career reached a certain plateau and just stopped dead.
-
([pointing-up] It IS a mystery!! [undb])
-
By her own admission, Lara wasn't as aggressive about pursuing an acting career as a certain woman with a pomegranate. She seems to have found writing and teaching to be more fufilling and less taxing. And I definitely give her credit for putting her acting career aside to adopt and raise a daughter.

Indeed!!
-
At times, Lara can be less than tactful. But she is more honest about things than Kathryn is.
-
([pointing-up] Gee, ya think?! [laughing11])
-
Well, KLS is second to none in projecting phony sincerity [evil-snowman] [evil-snowman] [evil-snowman]
-
([pointing-up] It's a true art form!! [nodassent])
-
It definitely is! Anyone who thinks that KLS can't act has never seen her work the room. People were actually talking about giving her money at the festival where her table got ripped off.
-
([pointing-up] Yes, I remember that. [snow_strange])
-
I don't recall if she accepted money from anyone or not.
-
([pointing-up] I would certainly hope she didn't! But who knows...)
-

Well, her acting style is a sort of endearing "earnestness", like you've caught her off guard at a vulnerable moment. I would guess that if you have that ability, you use it for purposes other than professional acting. Con men probably work that ability very hard... and you wouldn't necessarily know you're being fake. It's just your way of getting along with people...
-
Very well stated, Magnus. KLS is extremely adept at conveying vulnerability and earnestness, qualities that she may or may have as part of her own persona.
