Not sure if this has been mentioned here or elsewhere, but this might be of interest.

Comics journalist Peter Sanderson wrote a two-piece feature on the 2003 Dark Shadows Festival for the FilmForce web site. Sanderson has been a regular Fest attendee for some time.
