Hello, Dark Shadows Fan,
ShadowGram (SG) announces the following breaking news for Dark Shadows
(DS), just received directly from Dan Curtis' office.
The upcoming SG #95 and future SG print issues will report all
confirmed developments.
* Dan Curtis Productions (DCP) reports: "The Fox Television Network
has ordered a pilot script for a potential new Dark Shadows weekly
primetime hour series for the 2002 fall season.
"Dan Curtis has finished the script along with a collaborator, and it
has been delivered to Fox for consideration. No decision has yet been
made whether the script will be produced or if a new Dark Shadows
series will appear. It is only a possibility at this point, but updates
will be reported as soon as the news is available" through SG print
issues and this SG Online Updates List.
"In the meantime, reruns of the original DS daytime series continue on
the Sci-Fi cable channel weekday mornings, with two half-hour shows
airing back to back.
"MPI Home Video, which has released all 1,225 original DS shows on VHS
tape, will begin DVD releases starting this summer, offering 10
complete, unedited episodes per disc, along with bonus material to be
announced."
SG emphasizes there are no definite production plans, cast, airdate, or
any other specific decisions for a possible new DS. This is only a
proposed project in development.
The upcoming next print issue SG #95, subsequent SGs, and this SG
Updates List will have confirmed information on the above, plus reports
and photos from recent DS events and cast member appearances, and all
the DS news.
Thank you.
