She was a great lady. That brought grace to DS, in all the charactors that she played some good some bad.

I've been watching along with the watching project and I have been enjoying Joan immensely as Liz in the last few episodes. She's got a lot of dialogue and is doing well with it, and she looks fabulous - her hair is perfect and clothes and jewelry suit her perfectly. The added screen time gives us loads of Lizisms, lol. She is such a joy to watch right now.

I seem to recall hearing or reading that Joan sometimes wore her own jewelry on the show. Does anyone recall this as fact?
