How to be Attractive, a long out of print book co-authored by Joan Bennett in 1943, just showed up on Amazon for $20!
I grabbed the last hardcover copy: there's one paperback left.

Got the book--the binding is pretty sturdy for a 71 year old book.
Joan's beauty tips include eating regular portions of meat and eggs--for slimming down and youthful good health! (I guess there weren't too many vegetarians back then.)
The book includes a shot of a naked lady (not Joan) in a bathtub: her breasts can be seen in profile. Daring stuff for 1943!
