She's referring of course to Frid's blooper during 1897, when he accidentally walked across the set that was on cam for the closing credits carrying one of his costumes on a hanger.

It sounds as if she either didn't finish her thought about it, or the reporter garbled what she said.

That's amazing that the original series actors got three days work out of this.  I would love to know what the fees were.  It's good to hear that they were all treated so well.

Wow.  They "weren't satisfied" by something from the prize-winning pen of S. E. Hinton, yet they published the Salem Branch??

I'll never, ever understand the current publishing scene.

There was a thread about it a year or two ago.  I haven't had time to read the book.

Very cool.  I don't know who Ryan Murphy is, but evidently he is in the spotlight today.

I was in the room sometimes when the Waltons was on.  I generally wound up leaving the room to occupy my mind with less gooey, sentimental fare.

Those who are remembered live on in our hearts and adorn our lives with the beauty and wit they brought forth in life.

I watched some Magda episodes on Friday simply because I was having a difficult day and Grayson always brings delight and laughter in her work in that role... I am so glad we still have Grayson's legacy to enjoy and cherish.

Here's to you, Grayson.  I'll never forget you.

cheers, Gothick

Great post, MB.  I never got to see NoDS at all during its theatrical release because we were out of town in a trip (to Florida, I think) the week that it played in our local theatre.  I guess it must have been sometime in August.

Was any of the wild scene where Charles and Angelique are making love in the swimming pool which had been turned into a torchlit, phantasmagoric realm of hell by the production crew for the occasion, still in the print you saw?  There's a snippet of it in the trailers, I think.  I remember that you posted images from it in the NoDS slideshow thread here.

Best, G.

Nice to see.

I wish Nancy Barrett and Alex Moltke were doing cameos, too.

Is this kind of writing typical of television criticism today?  It's infantile and illiterate.

He doesn't discuss The Vampire Diaries; he simply mentions the series.

I saw a snapshot somewhere of Joe Manganiello (if I'm spelling his name properly) and was bowled over by how impossibly sexy he is.  It's still not enough to make me move True Blood into my Netflix queue, though.

That's a lovely photo of David and Lara, MB.  Many thanks for posting the link.

Lovely work.  The fan who owns that channel, Baron von Blixberg, has done tribute videos to every DS actor, I think--certainly many of them.  There are a couple for Grayson.  Great photos all around.

I haven't scrutinized the photo with nearly the degree of intensity y'all have done, but I would really doubt that Bella Heathcote was allowed to do a stunt like that.

But maybe they did let her/ask her to do it--if they're really that dumb.

Fans,

Nancy Barrett appears in the beginning part of this unfortunately rather poor quality OLTL video clip from Sept. 1982:

A number of 1982-83 episodes have been loaded on Youtube by this fan... I keep hoping that one of Grayson's Euphemia Ralston episodes will show up at some point...

The idea of Julia having to escape from the padded cell at Windcliff is a hoot!

And I know it upsets people, but this is sounding more and more like a Saturday Night Live skit that some very dedicated fans would put on who have been immersing themselves in the show for years...

OMG OMG, Roger Davis will be there!!!!  what an utter THRILL for all the lucky fans who will be present!!!  *swoooonn*

Oh, I'm sorry, is my sarcasm dripping a hole through the floor?

*wink*

What a hoot.  The one about Quentin bringing his groovy, scandalous Witches coven to Collinsport sounds like a real scream.  I just may need to hit up abebooks for that one...

As always, one knows that the book covers are going to be by far the most interesting features of these ... artifacts.  I do love the one for The Foe of Barnabas Collins.  Such a fab photo.
