Does anyone remember the height of fashion was the shag haircut as worn by roxanne?

Yes I remember the shag haircut.  When I was in High School the poodle cut was popular, I never wore it but a lot of the girls did.  We are talking fifties here.

Oh yes, do I remember the shag haircut?  It seemed like all the girls in my neighborhood had one.  And it looked great on them so I finally got up the nerve to get on myself, and wound up hating it on me!   My sister's friend was hairdresser and being my hair was very straight she talked me into having a perm done too!  It was horrible!  By the time that summer had ended my hair looked like the bride of Frankenstein, going every which way.  I couldn't wait to grow it out.

[bow]  Yes, I remember the shag.  Everybody had one but me.  It wasn't until the 80's when the layered look was so popular that I broke down & had my hair & styled.  Wasn't the shag hard to grow out?

As I recall - an absolute nightmare!  [silly]Couldn't wait to grow mine back out when I ventured that direction after high school. I hated that haircut and still do. [madan]
