   Adra here....I don't know if any of you guys have any issues with Barnabus' decorating of the old house or his fashion or such.But what do you guys think ol' Barn could have improved on before trying to win Vicki and Maggie over?...among others....

I second TERRY308's practical (yet, extremely all-important) suggestion.  You know, it's one thing if Barnabas is currently one of the "living dead," schnoozing comfortably (and "undisturbed") in that coffin all day.  However, during the not infrequent times that Mr. B. is "mortal," well... he must hate like hell to have to get up in the middle of the night to observe nature's call, schlepping out to that outhouse behind the Old House.

And, let's face it, neither the mortal Barnabas nor Willie Loomis are getting any younger.  So, their nocturnal "trips" are undoubtedly going to become more and more frequent with the passage of the years, IMHO.

If he wasn't going to give in on electrifying the whole place, the very FIRST thing he should have done was toss those hideous blue candles    and trade up to soft ivory cathedral pillar candles....instant upgrade.

  Adra here!...Good responces!...I'm sure doing some of those things would have livened up the old house and made it more comfortable. I think he should have put more candles at the top of the stairs in the old house. Do you guys remember the few times on the show when someone looked up the stairs at the old house and how dark it was...how spooky.Also, it'd be quite interesting to see Barn dressed in something besides black suit and capes all the time...liven up a little!...Wear a turtleneck and slacks or something.Wear a nice dress shirt and Khakis(were khakis around back then?) or something....just some of my suggestions...

I personally think Barnabas looks best in his smoking jacket or 1795 outfits.  His smoking jacket is so well, smokin'!  As for changing his home to make it warmer, I think getting rid of the spider webs would be a good idea.  Nice comfortable drawing room furniture would also be good.  Running water is also a big plus!

QE would have soooooo many ideas. . . Thom would first --the oldish/dirty furniture would be tossed onto the front lawn, the spikey/pomaded bangs would go. . .Carson would make Willie's pants  tighter .. . Jai would make Barnabas buy Julia something nice to say "thank you". . .and then Carson would take Julia out for a fashion redo to 'spice things up around here!'. . .Ted would toss out the amiandado (or whatever the hell that concottion B serves at parties is) and get a nice set of vintage martini glasses. . . .but then of course, Kyan's take on Barnabas' facial regime!! can you imagine!  standing in a bedroom over a porcelian basin -- 'where is your bathroom'  "my dear man i don't have one."  Kyan would scream for Thom, "this  place is a hellhole put in a bathroom!"

And then the roundtable observation at the end,
Kyan--"can you believe he didn't have a bathroom?"
Jai--"And she's been hanging around for nearly four years .. she's nuts about the guy!"
Ted--"Oh and Carson did you make her over! she has a waist!"
Carson--"Look look, he's trying to make crabcakes. .. don't pat the meat too hard!"
Ted--"Let's see if he can make a decent martini?"
Jai "oh oh she's smiling. . . "
Thom--"Look at him.  . he can't believe he had such a goodlooking gal in his house. . not to mention Willie, nice pants Carson!"

Hey Guys!

  Julia99 what a great responce!...Ol' Barn could use some stuff like that. Excellent thought of what the queer eye guys would have to say....you had me laughing like crazy. I can't think of any other things right now...you pretty much summed it up.Although i have a few other suggestions for Barn...he could try having Julia or Willie open the windows in the Old house...let some sunlight in and spray the air with Wizard or Glade air fresheners...and install electrical sockets and use some of those glade plug-ins. I don't know if anyone has ever noticed but the old house looks really stifiling and stuffy. Just some more of my suggestions...

ahh no he wasn't... but Barnabas could have traveled to 2003 say the end of OCT and bought one
or found out when The Red Sox win the series again and came ahead to see it(wish he'd let me know it might add years to my life)
