Let's start a list of scenes that were the most touching and heartbreaking in the series, too wherein the actors were RIGHT ON that day.. here are my nominees:
1. Sarah finally appearing to Barnabas as he strangles Julia (for the last time, amen.)
2. Chris J finally goes to see his little sister Amy at Wyndcliffe
3. B & J are tossed from 1970PT to 1995 and both lament the lack of love in their respective lives.
And. . more nominations??

I'd like for some red hot young dude (about 30) with red hair and green eyes to come to town, Barnabas Hoffman Collins. Somehow Angelique crossed the Atlantic, where B & J have lived since 1972 say, and cursed their son. . He journies to Collinwood to try and understand what occurred to his Mom and Dad there all those years ago. . .and why HE is now a vampire! That way Frid could have a cameo, perhaps returning to Collinwood with Julia's ashes to bury her or something. . ?? Anyway they need a Barnabas Collins as a vampire. . this way they could get one and the next generation thing. . .I do like the idea of Carolyn being the matriarch and maybe Quentin has aged. . .he finally found Petofi or something, that way we could have the wonderful David Selby back on PRIMETIME!

Okay Barn is a total A-- right now. Says Julia sees Josette as a rival, is always asking about her .. well DUDE, you talk about Josette 24-7. . oh wait, okay 12-7. . anytime he's conscious he's talking about her. . he'd think it RUDE if Julia didn't ask. She can do no right in his eyes (except cure him of course, such a small undertaking, curing a vampire, is he the least bit grateful??!!). . .Now when they're on the HIll and he's talking about Josette (in a plot never to see the light of day), he asks Julia if she understands and she responds quickly, "yes I do". . .no hesitation so I didn't think she was meaning "'cuz of you". . its too eary for her to feel that way about him. . . ohh if only we'd have gotten some background on Julia. . .regrets. . .I wish she'd knee him or throw the hypo on the floor in an ALL OUT temper tantrum. . he's so HOT about being human he wouldn't really hurt her, not til he's cured .. then of course, he'll be human and not so likely to kill, mame and torture . . .J99

He's had kind words for her. . .selfishly used but kind. . remember him telling her that Woodard wasn't the most brillant medical student. . .i'm sure that went a long way with her. . he also talks on about how she 'intrigues' him .. .If a man were around saying I intrigued him and that i was brilliant. .well, it would go a long way. . .maybe not enough to compensate for 4 neck grabs but hey. . .and no one knows really WHAT they did on that date to Collinsport a few weeks back. . hehehe J99

Good points, remember he has confessed fear and love of his sister to her and to no one else. He shows who he really is to her and no one else. . .that engenders a sense of intimacy. But he doesn't like himself so he can't fathom why Julia would possibly like or love him. . .It is more evident that he wants the SWYTs because they help him delude himself. . .rather than being disinclined (right now at least) to a mature, intellectually gifted woman. . .He didn't want Magie either when she 'knew' what he was. . .J99

Well right now she totally hates herself and thinks, if he's my only friend. . .better accept him as he is, he seems to accept me, a murderer. And since we killed someone to cure him, perhaps its not worth all this but there is no escape from what I've done. . .

In any event, she's emotionally distraught, not thinking in her right mind. . its interesting though that she continues to cling to him and her love of him even years later when her mental boat stabilizes. . .J99

So Julia finally did reveal a bit about 'someone' accepting B for what he is. . thought it was interesting that he wonder whom 'she' might be .. .he suspected she was speaking of herself. But i liked how she added "she might even love you". . kindof implying (in my mind) that she doesn't really feel all that just yet but she might .. if he cleaned up his act. . .that's gonna take a lot of 409 and several sponges. . .Hey we've already murdered together, lets get horizontal! Julia stayed somewhat true to her vow not to take a human life. She held the hypo but kept saying "i can't do it, i can't". She handed it to Barnabas who administered the fatal dose.

Man, oh man, I thought I'd seen the murder of Dr. Woodard episode but guess not. Wow was Barney evil to Julia. . .how could that turn into love, i guess it was a perverted kinda of love since she didna have any more friends to hang out with. . .Julia Julia Julia. . .she shoulda just run to the police or made her own stake. . .And in the 2nd episode, Julia was such a freakout show. . .if you'd witnessed that would you have thought? 1) this woman works hard to repress her feelings, 2) she was closer to Dr. Woodard then we all new or 3) SHE's THE MURDERER?? I think i mighta thought hard on #2 and #3 given the way she acted back at Collinwood. .repeating everyone's words. ."murder. . ??"

I doubt that scene would've been written that way had it been this Peter dude. . now who is this guy? So glad Grayson was in that bar, that one night. . .just before they were gonna cast him and the Producer (I forget which one) decided to change Dr Hoffman to a girl and give the part to the girl on the barstood next to him . . .J99

That went WAY over my head, too, the first time around. Oh, how stung Julia must have been by Barn's insensitivity.
I was actually surprised to see this scene today .. i had long heard about how insensitive Barney was but I saw it differently. It was as if HE could not fathom that SHE would be interested in him (given what he is. . ?) I didn't think he found HER preposterous but the idea of her caring for him given the 4 times he's mauled her and threatened her and her keen intellect. . . I found that fairly interesting. .

Anyone else notice the other green suit in her closet. I guess find a style, color, and buy several of the same thing.
But where was the checkered b/w suit she wore only once? at the drycleaners? and the sweaters?

I used to lament the paucity of Julia's wardrobe, and opening her armoire only reinforced the point. It was so empty, I think I heard echoes coming from inside it.
Just wait 'til she tosses aside her 'historian' disguise. . then the closet and jewelry boxes begin to overflow with DOCTOR Hoffman's collection.
