LOL! Well SOMEBODY was born in 1918 then!

Grayson was born in 1923.

I love Eden Reigel but she is WAAAAAAAAAY too young for Julia. Grayson was (I think) 49 in 1967,

DR. JULIA HOFFMAN
A Julia actress should be slightly beautiful but modestly so. I think Frances Fisher is a good choice. Some might know her has Rose's mother from "Titanic."

First off, grayson would slap you silly for suggesting she was 49 in 1967. . .she was actually 44 trying to slide by as 41 . . .But I do agree, Frances Fisher would be a very good Julia. . i liked her years back when she was on Guiding Light as some sorta record producer who was interested in Lujak or something. .then as the tough whore in Forgiven and for anyone who's seen Female Perversions.  .oh well, nuff said. . I think that even Grayson would say, 'yep she's the gal'. . . ;)

Because, as we mentioned during the 1840 storyline, Kathy Cody was under contract and they were obligated to use her...

I thought that was someone's guess not known fact.

Did you see the part where he asked Catherine where Daph was and she said that she was at Bramwell's and he's like "But she knows Bramwell is my enemy!" SO WHAT?! Daphne is not your slave Morgan! She can see whomever she wants! She's a grown woman! Just because you hate Bramwell doesn't mean that your in-laws must hate him too! The nerve of him! And another thing, Morggie: BACK OFF THE MELANIE

I wonder which writer came up with that lame line and what it meant about living with him .. .??? ;D

1) Best edge of your seat moment: Reenactment of the doll crumble scene . .would it crumble again?

2) Most boring time of the show of 2003: right now. .
how hum.  . . Bramwell and Catherine, yawn

3) Most surprising "change" of 2003: Barnabas Collins.. .from hatred to oblivious love for the woman who destroyed his family and turned him into a blood sucking creature of the night (thus murderer)

4) Best Actress: Grayson Hall....I gotta agree here from Magda in early 2003 to Julia's return to modernity--her swishing around Collinwood when everyone was else going nutso, Barnabas' meanness toward her to PT Hoffman the ultimate housekeeper to her1995 trembling by Gerard and simultanteous glee in pointing out she and Barn aren't gonna learn anything.  .all that to the really hard PT Julia Collins.  wow!  I'd also give runner -up consideration to Joan Bennett, Flora was quite fun!

5) Best supporting actress: Nancy Barrett.  .. wonderful in each characterization.  I even find her turn as Melanie the one interesting thing about 1840 PT.  And my nod to Lara Parker, she is always quite good.

6) Best Actor: Frid as Bramwell. .i don't like the plot or the character but his ability to create a completely different persona is amazing.

7) Best supporting actor: John Karlen. . . William Loomis, sniveling Carl Collins and now the brother in PT1840. . .all very good turns.

8 ) Saddest moment: When Julia overheard the insane Barnabas Collins declare Angelique his only love.  2nd runner up, when Julia almost spilled the beans on her love of the guy and he replied, "you'll never lose me Julia"

9) Theme stuck in your head: no nominee

10) Most annoying kid: Carrie/Hallie. . in any period.

11) Storyline with the most class: Beginning of 1897--the wrap around seatee.  .the sibling rivalry, some great stuff before it all went awry.

12) Scariest moment: Barnabas's declaration of love, ugh, see #8. . .

and then there are those of us who wished they'd just leave well enough alone. . .the original was what we love and that type of affection wont be recreated.

All six farewell montages were on display for four days (three is usually the norm) but they were taken down on Friday. I'm sorry you missed them. But there's always the next run of DS to look forward to when they'll be displayed again once we get past episode #1198...

I don't know how i missed it .. i usually check every day except last week i was in NJ conducting inspections in the snow. . have pity, besides. .what next run . .don't be cruel Elvis!

Ya know what else is astounding?  They didn't even mess up the bed.  (Could they have done it on the floor?)   :o

And they were still fully clothed. . i'm sure Catherine's dress was a bit mussed up, no?  Oh did she just hike it up .. ohhh now i'm getting tawdry.  ..

You know there are other things they could've cut that some of these seemingly key scenes. . like the whole opening intro goes on waaaay too long for me ..  .the drive up the house. . just cut to it  . ..could've saved like 3 minutes there.
