Even in prison Burke hadn’t really seen someone fall asleep sitting up.

I could see that Annie.

Quentin Maybe could try going as Superman or the one of the Monkeys with sideburns.
Oh or maybe Starburns from Community with a little trip to the barber and a goofy leather vest.

Barnabas could go as Dracula just because.
Victoria could be Wonder Woman since the outfit is sleeveless lol.

Quite an eventful episode.  I remember burning through the Robservations having my phone read to be episode summary after episode summary.  And this was probably one of the episodes that made me want to absorb more of the story.

Lydia talked about Carolyn and Joe’s age in the previous WP.
I never thought the age difference was huge between the two.  Elizabeth hasn't left that hill in 18 years then even understanding soap operas don’t always make sense with ages, shouldn’t Carolyn be almost 18 or older?  * But it’s definitely played as if she’s younger.  And Joe has always seemed to be older.   . . .   . . .  I’m not sure what to think now  . . .

Having some Déjà vu on the Carolyn’s age topic like maybe I’ve talked about it on this forum before.

This bit of dialogue copied from Robservations of the episode seemed a bit morbid  . . .  “ . . . I think I'll go to Lookout Point--who knows, maybe I'll fall in the water and drown like Mr. Malloy--then no more problems. You do that, quips Vicki--only don't get washed up on Widows' Hill. Carolyn smiles weakly. Vicki goes back to writing her letter  . . .”

There’s some clever dialogue, but not so clever I remembered it.

It almost sounds like I don’t like the episode, but it starts Ratcheting up the tension in the plot arcs and even knowing the Bill Malloy story ending there’s something exciting to me about how the story makes you keep thinking it could be someone else.

While I wasn’t alive for the first airing and I can’t say I remember a distinct reaction to the 1991’s dilapidated old house either  . . .  I can definitely say that similar efforts to redress sets have made a big impression.
The Origin Dark Shadows 1995 story line impressed me even watching it on the SciFi Channel in the 2000’s.  Also impressed rewatching it more recently in the last few years.

Similarly Star Trek’s The Doomsday Machine featured a redressed Enterprise to represent a different damaged ship made an impression.  I really enjoyed that episode even though it genuinely made me think based on the title and description that it was going to be a lame episode twice in my life.

Excellent summary alwaysdavid :)

I think it’s nice to see David apologize.  Even if it was partly because he was manipulated into it.
Even when he’s doing something wrong Burke seems to be the most well mannered “villain” in any piece of fiction I can think of at the moment.
But that does make for his change of heart more believable later on in the series.

Hehe Uncle Rodger

play Quidditch

——
play Tri-Dimensional Chess

Either of those would have been pretty wild or even a guest appearance would’ve been great.
