Donnie B. Today
« on: August 29, 2002, 09:23:36 PM »
I wondered why his hair was sopping wet when he and Julia arrived at Collinwood.  I know it was thundering,  etc, but if it were raining that hard wouldn't Julia have had wet hair too.  Granted maybe she had one of those awful plastic rain bonnets, somehow I can picture her wearing one, but her coat was camel colored and would show raindrops quite well and there weren't any.  Maybe I missed something here, I don't know.

I'll just bet my Mom still has one too. I remember us wearing them in the 60's.

:-/ :-/Did Joe call Chris' sister
     Mollie!
I think it was repeated again, maybe by Julia.  I thought that the Jennings' sister's name was
      Amy!

Afan
Where are they getting these bodies, Mulder,  are they making them?

My mom wore those too, but even worse... she would get her hair "fixed" once a week at the beauty parlor and in order to maintain it til the following week, it was carefully wrapped every night in gobs of toilet paper until it was the size of a beehive before she went to bed... nothing was getting to that hair to mess it up! The terrible part was when we girls came home from a date, there was mom poking her beehived head out the back door to check on us.. arrrrgh! [silly]

Chris' little sister was named Molly until her first appearance when it was changed to Amy.. there was no blooper here.

Just as Julia was referred to as Julius before her first appearance.. she also was not a blooper.

I think he hair was more wet because he was standing outside in the rain listening to Julia & Joe talk about how they needed to get him out of town...

Can you picture Liz Stoddard going to bed with toilet paper around her hair?  Maybe Mrs. Johnson.

Of course they don't have bathrooms so they wouldn't have toilet paper.

I did it in those days too.  I always thought it sort of just scrunched the hair together.

If all you ladies were using toilet paper on your hair, I certainly don't wanna know what you used the hair rollers for...[ignore][sssh]

Wow, I don't know anyones Mom who did the toilet paper thing.  My mom was the first rebel she wore shorts and sweatshirts when everyone's else's still wore house dresses.  Can't imagine wearing a house dress.  I do remember rolling my hair in orange juice cans to try to straighten it. My mother  tried to convince my 13 year old daughter she should try to do the orange juice thing.  Let's just say on me it was not a pretty thing.
