Current Talk '03 II / Re:'WHEN THE MUSIC STOPS LET THE PLAY BEGIN"

Am I the only sinner in this bunch? [lol2]
(Where's Ringo when you need him?! ;) )

Not only are these kids too old, but the "music box type" music to cast a spell theme is a little tired as well. Liked Josette's theme better.

The Supremes, as Leviathan slayers by day and Blue Whale performers by night. LOL.

But seriously: Actors like Agnes Moorehead as Bathia Mapes (was Bathia Mapes the actress or the character?), Bette Davis as Grandmamama Edith, etc. would have been fab. It would have been a ratings coup and a whole lot of fun to see some big names in the three day type roles that often cropped up during the series. Julianka (Natalie Wood?), Portia Fitzsimmons, Madame Findley (Joan Crawford?), Mrs. Hopewell (Barbara Hale?), Sandy (Sally Fields?), Buzz (Michael Parks?), Michael, Garth Blackwood, and all the "ladies" Barn met at the docks...

It might be fun to make of list of these "cameo" characters from the series and fill in the blanks representing possible actors for the roles. Unfortunately, my memory isn't very good when it comes to this kind of stuff.

dom (who has less memory than a 1984 computer)

PS - I wonder if some of these "big names" could have pulled it off in DC's live-to-tape method?

PPS - This is off-thread, but it would have been great if Alexandra Moltke could have returned in the role Lara Parker had in 1970PT. That would really have messed with Barnabas' head and given the fans a real treat, not to mention AM getting to play the villan she always wanted to.

Current Talk '03 II / Re:Stokes and His Niece
« on: August 21, 2003, 09:55:32 PM »
And at Collinwood she can be tutored (by Maggie the genius, lol) and have someone her own age to hang around with. Not to mention female role models. But this "branch" of this topic started as joke, right?

But getting back to the original train of thought - knowing what's to happen, it really doesn't make much sense on the part of Stokes to keep his niece in such inevitable danger. The fact that Hallie wouldn't be there may have been all that was needed to thwart the threat (although I/we know better...).

Oh! Look! Here comes another fork in the post!

...And David isn't getting any smarter as he ages. After the ghost of Quentin, he should be the last person at Collinwood to be investigating ghostsly mysteries. Obviously, this kid needs to be shipped off to military school. lol.

Wow, Cassandra, no kidding. The poor dear.

About Carolyn, don't you think she should have somewhat freaked when she saw Carrie in that dress? I mean, isn't this similar to what happened the last time Collinwood was beginning to be haunted by a ghost? I really think she should have been more sensitive to the impending doom.

I knew he was to return but I thought it was at the end of Leviathans. When it didn't happen, I was stumped. Did the big, "OH YEAH!", when he showed up as an astrologer (in Robservations). Groovy! 8)

I [luv] this Present Time stuff!

Well, Anne, if I can't watch you faint into David Selby's arms, I ain't goin' either! [wink2]

Current Talk '03 II / Re:Young Grayson?
« on: August 18, 2003, 05:18:14 AM »
Thanks to a closer and clearer pic in the montage, it is clear that it is not JB. Doesn't look alot like Grayson to me but it may well be. Great fun mystery. If it hasn't been solved by now, I doubt it ever will be. But I hope it will. Is Sam Hall still alive (I guess I should know this)? I wonder how possible it would be to ask him (through the proper channels, and if he is still living of course). It would be great if someone from the show attending the fest knew the answer.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.
