you said it . .. GH is referred to in various documents as  5'7" and 5'6".  . her husband is quite tall >6' soo who knows. . .I've been to the doctor and the height estimate has varried a full 1 inch!

I think KLS seems a bit taller than LP but then again anyone over 5'4" seems tall to me.. .and i didn't examine their footwear.  :P

Well Grayson's grandmother was a Romanian or Hungarian gypsy --the story changes a bit depending on who tells it but there is always the "gypsy traded for two oxen in marriage" element .. .and Grayson didn't seem to mind . .. of course maybe no one called her a "smelly gypsy" to her face. . .

Thanks J-C for promoting this idea.  I would be happy to try and pull something together if there is sufficient interest.

Connie--the book will be available on amazon and barnes and noble's online stores--I will make an announcement here as well.

And Yes Charles there will be pictures, a lot of never seen before.

But as to showing the programs you mentioned, since the DSFest is a 'for profit' (cough cough) production, I think we'd need permission to show those or pay a royalty.  Perhaps clips might be okay but not entire episodes--I will check with my legal advisor if a panel in anyway forms.

Personally, I think it would be a riot to show Grayson and Stacey Keach's sex scene from End of the Road.. the dropped open mouths of the innocent DSfans would send me into giggles for years. :o

You're all assuming here is logic involved here?  E.g.  the survey . .sure we all filled it out and participated but i'm sure the results went into file 13. . and as to some of the elders participating .. Swift, Curtis himself. . well there is an age factor (they're all 80+ years old) and i believe ill health might interfere with some of these folks attending not ill will.

As for Isles, Hennessy and Jackson ..well who can say?  They've just moved on. . .

A few other social thoughts i've had:

1) folks are psychologically aging much slower . .e.g. still dressing like a teenagers when their in their middle 40s, haven't found themselves even at 60  and

2) Everyone smoked back in the DS days which dramatically ages a person (lines around eyes, mouth, overall skin appearance). . . This point occurred to me when i kept wondering. .well, you know. . on DS Grayson Hall is only 6-8 years older than me but she seems older .. And Frid too seems 50ish (not 20ish no matter how many believe). .and then i thought of my own Mother who looks significantly older than her mother and grandmother--and even me at this age. .we all have the same physical and skin types. . .ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Mama smoked like a train for 30 years. . .and then i thought back to the earlier generation of DS actors all smoking. . . some actors even kept their cigarettes on the camera dolly for drags between takes (okay Grayson was the main actor who did this.  .)

As if the directors, writers, producers paid any attention to "real" age. . .Barnabas is supposed to be a "young" man, my ass!  Most everyone thinks Grayson is too old to be of interest to Barnabas but she was only a few months older than Frid and had a son the same age as David Hennessey. . .when the show is in 1840 PT. .why is Julia Flora's contemporary when Joan Bennett was 13 years older. . .  I think others could point out other inconsistencies.  .but i'm overly familiar with Grayson's stats as you all know. . .
