I remember the Bairds as part of one of the attractions at the 1964/65 worlds fair in NYC.  I think it was the Chrysler pavilion.

Very cool.  Bil Baird's marionettes were all over the place in the Sixties and the Seventies but I don't ever recall seeing a photo of Bil or his wife before.

What on Earth was Mr. Squeaky Bat doing at the World's Fair?  I was there in 1965, but as an extraordinarily short person who missed a lot...
