Hi folks.
Just thought you'd like to know that arrangements have now been worked out and it's official. I'll be doing a Night of Dark Shadows presentation at the Tarrytown fest.
Precise details and scheduling haven't been determined as of yet, but as of the moment, I'm planning on screening the standard release cut. Afterwards, I'll present several deleted sequences (some shown before at previous fests, many never seen before) and tentatively finish off with a brief Q & A panel with some NODS cast members that I'll moderate...
Should be a fun event for NODS enthusiasts.
(Oh and since I have more time to prepare, the clip reels should run much smoother than at the LA fest a couple of years back where we had to toggle between a few different tapes...)

Thanks for the link, Midnite. The festival runs about the same time I'm normally on vacation, so hopefully I can make it there and meet some cousins, DS stars and watch that NODS presentation.

(oh, and ps...sorry for not knowing this....is this the movie where [spoiler]Barn has rapid aging? or the other one/HoDS that I've never seen...I get them mixed up...[/spoiler]

No, won't be selling it afterwards, but then again we should have a definitive yes or no by then whether the studio will put the films on the DVD release schedule to coincide with the release of the new series (if its picked up). Of course, whether they will agree to pay to put out the restored version is yet another matter...
HODS has rapid aging Barnabas. There is no Barnabas in NODS...
Try to rent the films before going to Tarrytown. You'll enjoy yourself much more if you do.

when will sound be added to that missing footage? years ago there was talk of having the actors rerecord their dialogue and havent heard anything recently. hope its done soon. the cast isnt getting any younger you know.
