... I want to share this still that relates to how Scene 59 actually opens:

In fact, it looks practically exactly like how the scene opens -... and when Scene 59 begins, before anyone says anything, Alex, Quentin and Claire are seen having a good laugh, as can be seen -

... I forgot to mention that I first saw the still of Alex, Quentin and Claire that I posted in Reply #145 when it appeared as part of the '95 NYC Fest Program (in its announcement of the 30th Anniversary Celebration in LA in '96). Though that version was a bit cropped - what I shared was the actual still, which I came across a few years later...
Quentin listens to his music, the throttling rope gripped in his hands. The music grinds to a stop, the clock chimes. Quentin starts it over again. It hasn't worked, notes Barnabas. Are you giving up? asks Quentin. It's been over half an hour, Barn points out. Q tucks the rope into his pocket and asks, are you tired of listening to the music? "Frankly, yes," says Barn, smirking. It soothes me, says Quentin. Barn figures Jenny isn't in the house. Judith and Beth hurry in. Has she left the house? Asks Beth Is she gone? asks Judith. Where? wonders Beth. Barnabas asks about Laura. Judith suggests, Barnabas and I will look in the cottage. Judith orders Quentin and Beth to check the West Wing again. Judith fears Jenny has left the estate, gone to the village, and tells Barnabas, we must find her!

- and after that Alex asks, "Tell me, how's life at the old castle? Uh - have you seen Miss Drake smile yet?" - though for some reason the closed captioning drops the "Tell me" part -
- and instead of "have you seen Miss Drake smile yet?" the closed captioning reads -
- (but interestingly, the subtitles has everything correct) - and to Alex' question Quentin replies with an unscripted -
