Both are on my list of all-time favorite melodies.

Goth baby! Even the "girls" did a vocal version of Sleep Walk.

As always, MB, thanx for the updates.

I missed last week's (well, it was on TV but in a small room full of talking people so...) but caught last night's. Still lovin' it. I wished I had seen JLM on "The Talk". Maybe I can catch it on YT. I will probably watch last weeks On Demand tonight.

BTW, lately, on the original series, via our Watching Project, Louie Edmond's UR has been reminding me of JLM's UR because of the turtlenecks.

Still lovin' the thunder. I am under the impression it is still the same evening as last episode but Carolyn shows up at the Old House in a different dress. She called the grandfather clock "the large clock in the foyer at Collinwood". Uhm, okay. Well, maybe I'm not as bright as I think I am.

There is a major tape glitch during the Old House scene between Barnabas & Carolyn. I'd love to know if it's a Dan Curtis thang or an MPI thang. It's an edit that changes their conversation instantly.

Frid is experiencing his usual midweek line flubs. Barn's gonna handle Julia by messing with her head and Carolyn is to take care of Peterson by messing with his head - just not the one on his shoulders.

I don't remember ever seeing The Blue Whale so lit up. I got a kick out of the old cigarette machine behind Tony at The Blue Whale. It was the best thing about this episode - I didn't enjoy it very much at all - Not even Barn's hocus pocus act.

Julia's nervous hysterical outbursts are an interesting new addition to her arsenal of emotional physicality.

A new character! I'm not yet impressed with Lacy's acting but after all, it is his first day.

Louie Edmonds had me eating out of the palm of his hand with his "silly & stuffy" performance.  And the emperor got new clothes -- a nice black (silk/satin?) smoking jacket .

All the scenes in this episode were great for one reason or another and were wonderfully written (for the most part, if not all well acted). There was Roger's indignation with Tony Peterson (well, everything that came out of Roger's mouth was fabulous, really): Roger in his playfulness with and concern for Carloyn: Carolyn busting Julia with the notebook in the foyer and subsequently trying to keep Julia from leaving with Tony: Julia at Tony's office: Carolyn at Tony's office -- all producing a great many quotable lines. (Some of them hysterical in or out of context.)

I have no previous memory of all the blatant references regarding Julia's love of Barnabas.

Yes, DarkLady, this is one instance where I immediately picked up on a current set location as being that of a future set location.

My favorite part(s) of this episode hands down is/are Bennett's scenes. Well said, DarkLady, Liz is in 'full Mistress mode', lol, and I love it! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of Joan's performances. One of the main reasons Liz is my favorite character is the dignity, poise & class she displays as mistress, her tenderness and protective nature towards David, and her defiance as defender of the Collins name and holdings. And the way she puts Roger in his place is icing on the cake.

My favorite Liz moment in this ep: Carolyn: You act as though this were her house, not ours! Liz: Carolyn...it's my house.

I'm with Barnabas on this. That is, I can see where he is coming from. Julia betrayed his trust. You can't expect him to want her around any more. Now, it will be interesting to see how she gets back in to his good graces.

I wonder why Willie and Carolyn display two totally different types of subservience -- Willie is reluctant and questioning. Carolyn is obsequious and eager.

Pretty good ending with Carolyn noticing the grandfather clock not striking - suspenseful - knowing what we know.

Barrett and Frid seemed somewhat unrehearsed which is generally odd for a Monday episode. Even the crew seems a bit off their game. (I'm assuming the strike is over.) It appears as though the cigarette smoking has all but stopped. For whatever reason, I especially enjoyed the sounds of the storm.  And yes, ad, I noticed Julia's wet jacket after her arrival at the Old House. I remember a discussion long ago about how many times physical evidence of weather was actually seen. I don't recall this moment as being brought up -- but it was ages ago and perhaps in an arena other than the DSForums.

I can't figure out if the question's been answered. <headscratch>

Love the eternal loop, lol, very DS.

Did you stand at attention? Were you wearing checkered tri-colored polyester pants?

And you get a well-deserved curse click for being a TV trooper!
