I couldn't stand the girl either. She is one of the most irritating actresses in television history. She played the voice of Lucy in Charlie Brown years ago and was in an episode of The Brady Bunch. :Paul

I thought John Karlen was very good in it. Below is a capture from it. I posted five more on the Members Archive. They can also be seen at http://www1.netzany.com/dscollins/ShazamKarlen/

VWR,

TVLand isn't available where I live so I'm very grateful you shared your captures with us!

I loved the movie Joe, it is one of my favorites. Dennis Patrick did not crack a smile in the whole movie. I felt so sorry for him in the movie. His performance deserved an Academy Award. I felt complete sympathy for him in every scene. He was the oppisite of Jason McGuire in every way. 8)Paul

Paul,

The article is about the "Joe" character but shows a pix of Dennis Patrick. He isn't mentioned in the article. Thought you might like to read it.

I thought the show itself was OK. Waaayyy to kitschy, and I like kitschy shows, LOL. But then again it was one of those Saturday Morning Shows done by the same people behind the Partridge Family and Brady Bunch cartoons. I thought John Karlen was very good in it. Below is a capture from it. I posted five more in the Members' Archive. They can also be seen at http://www1.netzany.com/dscollins/ShazamKarlen/

Wow, what a great picture VWR,  Willie looks great there with the cowboy hat on too!  Thanks for posting this! :)

Thank you VWR!!!

I don't think I've ever even IMAGINED JK in a cowboy hat, much less actually seen it!!! [lghy]  Though I wonder how the Brooklyn Boy ever pulled it off without hysterics!?

Is it just me or is his hair blonder here than it ever was on DS?

Maybe he was trying for that Southern California surfer dude Beach Boy look that was popular at the time.  What a change for a New Yorker! But great for us JK fans. ;)
