In all the years I have gone to a fest or any DS event, I've never gone with anyone and that includes boyfriends.   I want to talk to my friends and not have to worry about entertaining him too.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.  Lots of people bring their significants or even kids who have little to no interest in the show itself.  I know my husband still hasn't really gotten into the show much but has been crushed that he missed the last two fests because he loves all the people so much.

Unfortunatly, we may both miss this next one.  The first one I haven't gone to since before the 89 fest in NY.  I'm expecting a baby in May.

Congrats on the baby Jenny! Hope it's happy and healthy when it arrives!

And I think I'm going to just go ahead and make the reservations since I can always cancel them if I decide not to go. I want to go to Comic Con next year too, so I've got to find out when that's going to be and see if I'll have enough dough to go to both the fest and the con. If I don't, I'll probably hit the con and skip the fest.

I've gone semi solo a few times. Stayed by myself and would meet up with someone here and there. There are some good things about being alone but I'm one of those people that likes that. So if that were the only thing holding you back then don't let it.

Hey, I did that once when I failed to drum up interest.  It was actually kind of relaxing and I didn't have to consult with anyone as to what I wanted to do next, where to eat, etc.

EXACTLY!!!  I once went down to Anaheim for the sole purpose of meeting a friend at Disneyland and at the last minute, she cancelled, so I went by myself.  I was SOO easily to get along with!  Not to mention, I was VERY entertaining, too!

And, speaking of Disneyland, we're not going to be THAT far...I'm going to investigate getting a group rate and seeing who else wants to go!  (No, WAIT!!!  Don't go home MONDAY!!!!   )
