Title: carolyn,maggie and joe
Post by: michael c on June 11, 2005, 01:13:26 AM
since collinsport is such a small town and everyone seems to know one another i assume carolyn, maggie and joe must have known(or known about)each other most of thier lives.

since carloyn didn't go away to private school they must have even gone to high school together(although joe and maggie seem to have a year or two on carolyn).was a rivalry between the spoiled and popular rich girl and the daughter of the town drunk already in progress?especially when it came to that cute joe haskell!did maggie have her sights set on him even then?i wonder if maggie even had to drop out of high school and get a job to help care for pops, fueling further her resentment?

when talk comes up about a "new" version of d.s. i think it could be cool to do a "prequel" that focused on the teenage years of these characters.sort of a gothic "90210".they must have had fascinating backstories.they could include the jennings brothers and even a young harry johnson(who would so be the token gay character).
perhaps there could be a parallel storyline that covered vicki's formative years at the foundling home.

i would so watch this show! ::)

That's a pretty interesting premise.

Yes, like a "Smallville" version of DS!

I like the idea.  I'd watch it.  There would have to be the Jennings twins and the 'Buzz' motorcycle guy story. I'd also like to see the 'older' crowd of Roger, Laura and Burke and what was happening when they were in their twenties.
