Hey Ringo,

It could be a lot worse. Instead of a fiery promo for the upcoming Firestarter series, we could be forced to endure ten days of promos for the upcoming Pauly Shore Show. (Being forced to watch that particular show would be worse than having to watch Angelique's Dream Curse continually be shown.)

Steve,

Thanks for the kind words.  Along with my colleagues Ben, CastleBee, Gerard, Ringo, et al, I like to think of myself as a Dark Shadows humorist;  A lifelong fan of Dark Shadows, who expresses his love and admiration for the show through his decidely warped sense of humor.

Sincerely,

PS  I think that Bob is correct with his suggestion that the head actually belonged to one of Mrs. Johnson's "be-wigged" ancestors.

Gerard,

I guess that Vicki (back in 1795) and Willie (in 1967) both became very well acquainted with the one edifice that we never got to see on the sprawling Collins estate, namely, the Olde Outhouse behind the Old House. (That would prove to be rather "Spartan" during those especially bitter Maine winter nights, don't you think.)

Dear Julia99,

A personal question, if I might. Does Michael Bolden know about you and Otis sitting in the evening sun?

Sincerely,

Dear Fellow Dark Shadows Fans,

I'm wondering where (or from whom) Angelique obtained her unique wedding "gift" for Josette and Barnabas.

With the dark hair and defiantly-shaped chinbone, perhaps the skull belonged to Magda Racosi's great grandmother.

Then again, those beady-shaped eye sockets look remarkably like Buzz Hackett's. Maybe the skull was part of one of Buzz's noble forebears.

Does anyone have any other idea who the cranium could have belonged to?

Dear Julia99,

Didn't the Duchess of Windsor say that you can never be too rich or too thin? (Or was it Diana Ross or Steve Winwood who uttered those memorable words?)

Hey Ringo,

I think that it's quite appropriate (if not topical)that we invoke the memory of the "physically expressive" rock vocalist, Jim Morrison, in our discussion of the Angelique Bouchard/Ben Stokes relationship.

Bob the Bartender, who suggests that we next discuss the similarities between Ben Stiller's likeable character in "There's Something About Mary" and the patriarch of the 1795 Collins family, "Jolly" Joshua Collins.

Gerard,

With all due respect to the late, lamented Jerry Garcia and his seminal sixties band, "The Grateful Dead," I proudly consider myself to be a "Block-Head," a devotee of the rakishly insouciant Donnie Wahlberg, and his cohorts, in that immortal vocal group, "NKOB," also known as "New Kids On The Block."

Dear Fellow DS Fans,

Apparently, the toddy is the drink of choice for most of the inhabitants of the Old House. I wonder if Ben ever brought a "hot" toddy to Mr. Barnabas to help soothe his sore throat? And speaking of "hot," what about that steamy scene between Ben and Angelique in the comely witch's bedroom today? I thought that we were going to be treated to a Dark Shadows version of "Lady Chatterly's Lover." (I think that I needed a toddy after that scene!)

Getting back to the subject of toddies, do you think that Bob Rooney still served toddies at the Blue Whale in 1968? Maybe Sam Evans or Willie Loomis ordered one for the road right when Bob was getting ready to close the bar at 3:00 AM. Toddies consist of rum, water, sugar and spices.

A final question, has anyone ever had a toddy in the last thirty years? I don't think that they serve them at P.J. Clarke's up on Third Avenue. Perhaps I'm missing a wonderful libation.

Siscerely,

Bob the Bartender, who leaves you with the late, great Jim Morrison's plaintive plea, "Oh show me the way to the next whiskey bar!"

Dear Jennifer,

I know this sounds "obsessive," but I simply cannot eat snack foods such as popcorn when watching these Barnabas "choking episodes." I almost wish that I could "jump into" the TV set, and give Mr. B. the Heimlich Maneuver.

I remember when the priests used to bless everyone's throats with two candles on St. Blaize Day. I miss that religious rite.

Sincerely,
