I just realized that references to Vicki definitely weren't cut to stay within the original narrative that Barnabas only remembered events as they'd played out with Phyllis Wick because a later flashback in Ep #661 does indeed include discussion of Vicki by name -

- obviously I was quite foolish to even suggest staying within continuity as a reason. So I suppose the likeliest reasons are that the edit may have simply been made for time or to tighten up the focus on how Joshua planned to destroy Barnabas...
