Dark Shadows The Best of the Original Gold Key Series

Can there really be a best of something that is itself awful? I mean, from the artwork to most of the stories, the Gold Key DS comics are probably the worst offshoot of DS that there is. Some may disagree. But I suspect most fans would not...

But what I find weirdest about this is how strange is it to receive a new alert to something that isn't even currently available?  [ghost_blink]

I bought the comic books which were, from art to plot, awful.  I also bought the MR novels which were, from writing to plot, equally awful.  But for about a year, after DS went off the air, that's all we had left, save those lucky enough to have the comic series run in their newspaper's "funnies" (and the plots were equally awful while the artwork was acceptable).

Yes, the artwork for the newspaper strip was pretty good. Though I've always wondered why they could never seem to decide if Collinwood looked like Seaview or Lyndhurst...  [ghost_wacko]
