I just found a link from Google to this question about Keith Prentice's singing talents on AfterElton.com
(I had no idea he was on Broadway in the original productions of The Sound of Music and Gypsy.)

It was nice to see this yesterday.  Thanks so much for sharing it.

I'm really sorry that we never got to see Prentice in a different role and setting on the show.  I don't think Morgan was the best showcase for what he had to offer (apart from those trousers, of course--lol!).

cheers, G.

I suppose he must have been capable of some subtlety in other roles.    I just think of him as bellowing all the time.

I wonder if Keith & Marie Wallace knew each other?
Marie was also in Gypsy, but I don't know if they were in it at the same time.

Keith was in the groundbreaking gay play The Boys in the Band (1968).
He & the entire cast reprised their roles for a 1970 film.
Never on DVD, the out of print VHS can still be found on Amazon.
This, I fear will be our only chance to see Keith in another role (except for his one scene in the Al Pacino film Cruising)

I happen to have the original cast cassette (I'm so old-fashioned) of Sound of Music and KP is listed, but in the ensemble of "neighbors, nuns, contestants, etc."
Though of course at some point, he may have graduated from the chorus to a named role--- I'm thinking, perhaps Rolf, Leisl's boyfriend?  Keith Prentice was 19 in 1959, so that would fit.
