a riddle for the day

when barnabas was holding maggie captive in the old house she escaped from her basement cell useing the clues found in a riddle told to her by the ghost of sarah collins.
does anyone remember the riddle?
sleep 'til noon and your punishment shall be the dregs of the coffeepot.

yah prof! did you remember it or did you re-watch the episode?i asked k.l.s. that question at the fest last year and she had no idea what i was talking about. :P

What made the riddle so difficult was that Sarah would  only say it once, poor Maggie... had to think very hard to remember.

One, Two, away they flew...  :)
Three, four by the door
Five, Six, count the bricks...  ;)
Seven, Eight the clue is Grate
Nine, Ten, Home Again...  :D

i think i remember this riddle because of the image of maggie counting those bricks...with long,perfectly manicured nails despite being imprisoned for weeks ::).

Oh, but that's easily explainable - not only did Willie have the hidden talents needed to restore Josette's room (and the rest of the Old House) to its former glory, but he was also an expert manicurist. And no doubt Barnabas had instructed him to keep Maggie's nails as perfectly manicured as the "real" Josette's would have been.

LOL!!!  He could have gone into business for himself "Mr. Willie's Hair and Nail Salon'!!
