I felt so bad for Adam today when Carolyn gave him a sweater...He was so appreciative of it ...that he cried,I found that very endearing..

I agree with you, Maggie.  It was so thoughtful of Carolyn but she really confuses him.  One day - she's sweet to Adam.  The next day - she's kissing Tony.   :)

Hi Maggie, welcome.

I liked Adam today: Couldn't stand him yesterday. His scenes today have given me a change of heart toward him. He was so "human". I noticed the change from the get-go. His telling Nicholas that he was going to stop the experiment because (in my words) it is the right thing to do. (Though I was disappointed that the Nickster talked him out of it.) And finally in the scene you wrote of with the sweater, where he cried and genuinely seemed to understand and accept the only kind of relationship he would be able to have with Carolyn. This has got me thinking though, that there has to be trouble ahead for these two. Nicholas has (IMO) promised Adam that he can have his cake and eat it too. Nicholas admitted to Angelique that he had just said that to appease Adam. But where Adam is concerned, you'd better deliver on a promise - or else! And where Nicholas is concerned, it can only lead to no good.  I can't imagine that Adam in his present state of mind about Carolyn will let Nicholas anywhere near her. It ought to be pretty interesting. Nicholas has placed himself between a rock and a hard place where Adam is concerned and he is going to have to get himself out of it. I guess we'll soon see how much of this new found humanness Adam will be able to retain.

It was a very touching scene (at least I thought so)..I actually found myself teary-eyed..lol and I don't do that too often watching Dark Shadows..

Hi Maggie,  Welcome to the board.  I also found that scene with Adam & Carolyn very touching today as well. It also made Adam appear to be more human than he's ever been so far on the show. Im sure there are lots of folks just like him, young & old alike who sadly probably never received a gift from anyone in their lives.

He is played believably as a child who is growing up without the benefit of loving parents (Barn. and Julia really screwed up).  No wonder he is so easily manipulated...it would have been interesting to see what happened to the character when he "grew up".

Too bad, another missed opportunity.

this was one of the worst storylines to me on the show!

Hello Jennifer~ It's ok..everyone has their favorite storylines,I think..personally, I am one of those rare people who enjoyed every single timeline and storyline..I just really enjoyed all the characters that much,I guess~ ::)

Hello Ringo~! Nice to meet you..I have to say that my all time favorite one to hate is Thee almighty Trask..my take on the most annoying one is definetly ..200%..Hallie stokes.When I see her ..I just have the urge to say "would you like some cheese to go with that whine?" :P..She's the most nerve wrecking child on the show..in my opinion...Yes amy gets on your nerves too..but Hallie..whew...By the way,(hope you recovering nicely from the slap Robin gave you... ;)
