Seeing Angelique listening in on the conversation of Joe & Barnabas reminded me of other times information was available to an unknown third party during the Series. Do you remember who, when, and where? Please contribute your thoughts and perhaps we will list them all.

Harry, outside the Old House, overhears Barnabas and Julia's plans to kill Eve.

Harry overhears an interesting conversation in the drawing room, Barnabas tells Carolyn that it is a matter of life and death that he finds Adam.

How about Jason McGuire eavesdropping outside of the old house and listening to Barnabas & Willie discuss what they did to Maggie Evans and what their next plans were going to be for Vicky.[eek]

Another eavesdropper was Lt.Forbes. He stood outside the old house and listened to Ben talking to Barnabas, (who was suppose to had been in England at the time.)[shckd]

A favorite of mine was when Barnabas stood outside Angleique's room in 1795 and overheard her chanting a spell to cause Vicky's room to catch fire.[kaiokn] [angryf]

Dr. Woodard, eavesdropping outside of the Old House, overhears Barnabas and Julia's conversation, confirming some of his suspicions about Barnabas and learning about the existence of Julia's notebook detailing her experiments.

David overheard Barnabas & Willie discussing the where abouts of Sarah, while he was trapped inside the Masoleums secret room.

**Spoilers**

David and Amy listen to a post date Carolyn and Chris talk about them before heading off to meet their ghosty "friends."

The possessed Charity listened while Quentin and Beth plotted a way to free Barnabas from Petofi.

I remember another one when during the 1795 storyline, Naomi & Abigail were listening to Joshua "interviewing" Vicky for the job of Sarah's goveness.  Only these two got caught eavesdropping! ;D

One more:

Tony spied on Carolyn after she ditched him at Collinwood and caught her and Barnabas doing things one shouldn't catch cousins doing.

Please educate me...

Well..... I assume your reference to 'party line' was about the old style telephone systems, circa 1964 [a very good year], where multiple families were all on a single line.  You could pick up the phone [with a dial!] in your house, slyly listen in [for as long as it took to be caught] to the private conversation the other 'party line' members were having - and also have to wait till they got done yakking to make yer own 'private' call.  Some folks had what was called 'private lines' that did not have this 'feature' but that was in the city [we lived in the country].  A bit of an aside ~ there were a couple of nosey folk known to listen in on our party line, and a friend and I 'set them up' with some fictional gossip about a goodie-goodie neighbor the next time we knew we were being eavesdropped on [and you could always tell, the sound of the line changed when more than one person was on]  The 'fiction' that we 'wrote' soon spread thru-out the land, and we chuckled.......hey, haven't  I told that story before???? and been accused of being very David-Collins-like???   [Kinda reminds me of a 60's version of the Doonesbury strip last week-end ---- Hot Spot----? -- did ya see that?]

so that's what I think ya meant by party line ~ unless you mean what the Eagles referred to in Life in The Fast Lane????   [slap][bad Ringo, bad Ringo]
