You may wonder, if I said I've never come across a still from Scene 150, then why did I make a graphic for that scene -
- using this still:
Well, that's because Scene 150 says Angelique "lies on the cot," which indeed she is doing in the still, so even if it's not specifically associated with Scene 150, it comes damn close. And she may not be "holding out her arms" to Quentin, but as we've seen numerous times already, even when it comes to stills definitely known to be associated with specific scenes, they often depict characters in ways other than how the script describes them. Plus, I love that still.
And as a bonus, here's a very rarely seen alternate shot:
...
150 INT - TOWER ROOM - NIGHT 150
Quentin stands leaning with his back against the
door. PAN WITH HIM as he crosses to Charles' un-
finished painting which is now on his easel. It is
obvious that he has progressed the painting himself
in the original style. He picks up his brush, does
something, then looks O.S.; he smiles. SLOWLY PAN
in the direction of his gaze to reveal the strangely
opalescent Angelique, who lies on the cot, holding
out her arms to him.
QUENTIN - MEDIUM ANGLE
PAN WITH HIM as he crosses to her.
And that's when today's quote -Page 71/Scene 150 - Quentin: 'How could I have ever thought you were a dream?'
- comes up, ...

And so far as differences with the dialogue, the descriptions, and the directions go, (this) scene (isn't) in the film as it currently stands, so there's no way of telling what might be different. ... Scene 150 is not on the (unrecovered) list, so there's a chance that it may be in the 129 minute version.
And speaking of Scene 150, in Grayson's script there's quite the interesting note that reads: "Intercut Q in sexual ecstasy caressing A. Allow stroking kissing" Sounds like it could be quite the scene, reminiscent of what was cut out of Scene 85 (the tower makeout scene) in the 94 minute version.
Gerard caresses the mask--Leticia where did you get it? he asks. I found it, simpers Leticia. You're lying! he accuses, this must be worth a fortune--this gold and all these jewels. Jewels? she laughs, no they're pieces of colored glass!--it wouldn't fetch a farthing, it's just a plaything. Don't take me for a fool, he says, growing angry

It's interesting how the light on Quentin'e face appears blue on the VHS/Laser yet white on the Blu-ray/DVD...

Alexis draws back from the kiss, murmuring, "Quentin, please." He apologizes--I didn't know what came over me. Yes you did, she says, rising from the piano bench, and so do I--you thought I was Angelique, just like everyone else--it's been that way my entire life, as if I didn't even exist, she sobs, staring at the portrait--"But I did think that YOU, at least..."No, he says, it can't be. Why shouldn't you be like everyone else? she asks-- Julia Hoffman and Amy--they both think I'm some kind of ghost, and the way Bruno acted this afternoon... Bruno? asks Quentin. Yes, he was here, mostly out of curiosity, I'm sure, says Alexis. Bruno was here in this room? asks Quentin. He heard me playing a song of his, explains Alexis, and came in with all kinds of excuses, but what he really wanted to do was see if I was real! He won't come in here again, I promise you that, says Quentin. It really doesn't matter, says Alexis, I won't be here, I'm leaving--I really believed that you, of all people, believed who and what I was, but now... But I do, protests Quentin, I do--you're Alexis, and what I did just a moment ago was very stupid and meaningless--please forgive me and tell me you'll stay. I really shouldn't, she says, there's been nothing but trouble ever since I've arrived, I even caused your wife to leave you. It wasn't your fault Maggie left, he says. I wish I could believe that, but I still feel I shouldn't be here, says Alexis--maybe if I leave, Maggie will come back. I got a telegram from Maggie earlier today, says Quentin--she wants to think things through before deciding anything. With me gone, it would be easier for her to decide, says Alexis. Quentin looks odd. I'll miss not meeting Daniel, she says--I've looked forward to it so much, I can't tell you. She picks up the photo of Daniel and Quentin, gazing wistfully at it. You must stay, he insists, you have to--it would mean so much to Daniel-- please. Not nearly as much as it would mean to me, says Alexis--he's such a handsome boy. Then it's settled, says Quentin, you'll stay
Wrapping up Scene 149:
QUENTIN - TRACY
As she turns and runs down the stairs TOWARD CAMERA.
He calls after her.
And that's when today's quote -Page 71/Scene 149 - Quentin: 'And don't ever let me catch you up here again!'
- comes up, followed in the script by:
As she runs by CAMERA, he SLAMS AND BOLTS the door.
End of scene - but not the end of the sequence as scripted. But that will wait until next time...
And when it comes to what's different with the dialogue, in a bit of unscripted dialogue Quentin once again orders "I said get out" - and then what he actually warns is "Don't you ever let me catch you up here again!"
And when it comes to what's different with the descriptions and directions, things do not switch to a 2 shot of Quentin and Tracy as the script indicates - instead, the close-up of Tracy continues as she looks back up at Quentin -
- in hurt and shock - and then becoming quite calm again, Quentin orders Tracy -
- to get out a second time - and it isn't until after that that in a 2 shot we see -
- Tracy turn and start down the stairs, but she doesn't run down them - and when Quentin warns Tracy not to ever let him catch her there again, as can be seen in today's capture, the shot simply features Quentin -
- so we do not see Tracy run by camera - and afterward, while he does slam the door shut, we don't hear him bolt it.
And tomorrow we'll feature more material that is not in the 94 or 97 minute versions of the film but some of which may be in the 129 minute version. But more on that next time...
And wrapping up the differences in the subtitles and closed captioning when it comes to Scene 149, after Tracy says she thought Quentin said he wasn't going to come to the tower amymore, she notices something about him has changed and she asks, "Quentin, what's happened to you?" - and the closed captioning reflects that - however, the subtitles have -
- and then before Tracy asks if there's someone else in the tower room, the closed captioning indicates the sound of -
- and makes it seem as if that's what prompts Tracy to look toward the room and then to ask her question - but in all the previous times I've seen the film, I've never heard footsteps - and while if you turn the volume up all the way, there is indeed the slightest of sounds heard, I find it hard to believe it was meant to be that the sound of a footstep prompted Tracy when the sound is so barely perceptible - but who knows? - though what is fascinating is that the closed captioning acknowledge the supposed sound of footsteps yet there's no acknowledgement of the huge sound the door makes when Quentin finally swings it open (or when he closes it later in the scene)...
Also, before Quentin taunts Tracy by mimicking the repeat of her question, the closed captioning indicates that he prefaces it with a -
- (though to me it's always sounded like "Hmm") but only the closed captioning reflects that - and after Quentin says that Tracy makes him sick, he says "I can't stand the sight of you anymore! Now, get out!" - and the subtitles reflect that - but the closed captioning has -
- with both "anymore" and "Now" dropped...
