Hi ho Patterino.

New phone I'm on "THE boards!!!"
What fun for you, Patti. [santa_wink] [santa_thumb]

fyi I am experiencing the dreaded server too busy indication especially around the 10-11am est. I can view this site on the phone during that time but I am unable to access the site from the desktop. This is happening the past two days.

I've noticed. And I have no idea what's going on. But my best guess is that because we share our Web space/MySQL database space on the same servers as some of our host's other customers, another customer has been doing something that takes up a lot of the server load at that time. Perhaps year-end reports or whatever. But whatever it is, hopefully they won't be doing it for much longer. And I can't really say too much because quite soon the forum will be doing something that will quite possibly take up a lot of the server load (so the other customers will be the ones wondering what's going on [santa_wink]). But more on that when the time comes...

Thanks MB. Other than that things are going great here. Thanks.

Who knows what was going on tonight? The forum was inaccessible for me for hours. However, I see that Josette was able to post while I was still unable to get through. [santa_undecided] Were others able to get through between about 10:30pm ET/7:30pm PT and 1:35am ET/10:35pm PT?

I just tried to come back a few minutes ago, and nothing happened. Then I tried again and it came right up.

Unable to access MOST of the time. I did get through once though.

I've been able to take comfort from the announcement "Don't be surprised by anything you see here" (or similar words) a surprising number of times, over the years. It's like the Hitchhikers' Guide's "Don't Panic" or "This too shall pass" for me. And right now, I'm glad I don't know about all the computer stuff discussed above, or else I'd be worrying about it and trying to figure out why this or that problem is happening. Instead, I can just let it be...

And that's the best attitude to have, Magnus, because everything does eventually work itself out. [santa_wink]
