Current Talk '02 II / ANGIE'S BEST ANGLE
« on: November 03, 2002, 08:36:18 PM »
In the 1897 storyline, Lara Parker is more confident and comfortable with her role. She delivers a mature and analytical Angelique, who is quite competitive with the other villains for the honor of top evildoer while also giving  us a glimpse of a soft side.

I have made it no secret that Angelique is my favorite character. Therefore, I enjoy all her special moments in the story. One of my favorite scenes (besides the Vampire curse scene) is when she battles Laura, the Phoenix, to save the children.

My question to you is which side and scene from Angelique is to your preference and why?

Now, this is ONLY an impartial observation, and I don't want anyone to take my comments personally, because they're certainly not meant that way

What followed next was this thread--an "apology and goodbye" from VAM. Speaking objectively, I knew such a posting would solicit across the board sympathy and a slew of messages asking VAM to rethink her decision. And I knew (am I psychic, or what?) that it would all end the way it has: with VAM posting, thanking her supporters and (apparently) deciding to stay, after all.

In the meantime, "XXXX" is suddenly cast in a different light...by implication, he/she is almost the villain in this piece. Hmmm...is something wrong here? Who tossed out the first volley: VAM or XXXX?

My return is sincerely due to the responses here which I did not intend to solicit. So I decided not to move out but move on. Let's not worry who started it all but concentrate on how to get beyond it. This really does not help in that regard...

I am so very touched by all your responses. It does warm and move the heart to know you care. Because you care, so do I. Thank you!

I would like to apologize if I have offended anyone by my comment that was honestly in jest...Guess I forgot to take off my clown costume from last night. I have decided, with mixed emotions, that this will be my last post here since it is in the best interest of everyone. I enjoyed meeting and sharing with so many of you. Thanks for giving me a smile!

Take care all and God bless you through life's journey-

 VAM

P.S. Many thanks to Midnite and MB for giving me the wonderful opportunity of sharing on this site.

BTW, if you recall (you seem to have great recollection of my posts), I also said that Information on the Internet is not always valid.

Nancy,

Apparently,  you don't know me and see that I am just having a little bit of FUN with that comment. If I had a serious accusation to make it surely would NOT be here.  Hmmm...Looks like I am misunderstood and I think I will terminate  my posting on this board, where there is no sense of humor.

Not so suprisingly, there's no word on what that "first time ever, extra-special surprise" is.

It probably is where the event is being held-Brooklyn Marriott Hotel. I think this is a first;)

Current Talk '02 II / WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY
« on: November 01, 2002, 04:48:50 AM »
The storyline now revolves around Grandmama's will. Does anyone remember other times during the show when a will was not only  another part of the plot but also a word uttered in conversation?

Hey Bob, is there a way I can get a copy of the photo of Lara and I (in costume)?  I like the one you took of us better than the one taken by someone using my camera.

I love hunting and gathering all the little web odds and ends and have especially enjoyed IMdB. But I agree with VAM - the net isn't my first resort for solid facts.

Thanks CB for the vote of confidence.  I always like to have my research backed up by several sources. Granted the Internet provides quick results especially if you have excellent search strategy techniques. However, the information is not always valid. So, I go the extra yard.

No, you wouldn't do that to a friend now would you?

Do you consider me a friend? This is suspension of disbelief...
