Since Julian's topic of "Humor on DS" came up with so many good replies (and good memories!) I thought I'd start a topic that's the opposite of that one and see how many sad or emotional scenes (or dialog) that we can come up with.

  One of the saddest scenes that I can recall is when Barnabas' sister Sarah died in his arms.  That one was a real tearjerker if I ever saw one.  To hear little Sarah say to her brother right before she died, "I love you Barnabas, I always will" was just so heartwrenching.  And the look on Barnabas' face was so sorrowful.
Can anyone else think of more heart tuggers on DS?

When the 1841 storyline first started out I remember seeing Samantha talking to Catherine in the PT room.  Then that was the last I saw of her?   Just who is her character suppose to be in this storyline anyway?  Im assuming she's not a Collins as we never see her,  but her and Catherine did appear to be close friends.  It's seems strange that she was just added for this one episode in 1841PT, and then you don't see her anymore. (or do we?)

One thing that really gets me crazy about the Parallel time room is this:
  Why is it that whenever a RT person overhears people in the PT room, then proceeds to open that door,  the people in the PT room never notice that the door just happens to be opening up by itself?  This happens all the time and it drive me batty!  It would seem more realistic if they just left the door open all the time.

I like this 1840 storyline but I can't help but find how strange the "new" Barnabas has been behaving.

For instance, the first place he goes to (that we see anyway) is Josette's room at the old house.  He then proceeds to take her portrait down while he's biding her farewell my lovely, and going on about beginning a whole new life now without her.

What a far cry from the Barnabas we know, who once released from his coffin in 1967 went about restoring the old house and fixing up Josette's room.  He had her room practically restored right down to the letter along with the perfect vanity she had on the dresser bureau!   And Heaven help anyone who would ever think of removing her portrait.  He seemed to be so obsessed with her.

So, why this sudden change of heart?   I guess 175 years as compared to the 40 year "absence really does make the heart grow fonder."

I just wanted to comment on how much I loved seeing today's montage of David Collins.  I love the way it shows how much he has grown & changed over the years too.   I never realized just how much he's grown on the show until I viewed him in todays montage. To me, he always seemed to have that same "baby face" that he started out with.  But upon seeing him in the pictures, it's quite amazing how much he's grown since first appearing on the show back in 1966.

    I guess you could say that Sarah was his first little girlfriend on the show, followed by Amy, and now of course, there's Hallie (what happened?)    Im going to miss his character now.  IMO he should have continued with his acting.  He would have made a fine actor by today's standards.  He was such a natural at it.

Did anyone notice that in Friday's episode Hallie didn't move her right arm once?  She did everything with her left arm and just held her right arm real still and it looked stiff.   Then, my Mom noticed that she was wearing a bandage on her right hand.   I wonder if she sprained it on the set or what?
