thank goodness this year they are having him personlize the banquet photos before the Fest, so maybe Jonathan will have time to relax and eat during the banquet, one can hope...
I'm curious as to how that will work out. That is, how will the autographed photos be distributed?  Will there be assigned seating at the banquet this year (with the autographed photo acting as a place card)?  Will you receive your photo when you present your receipt for the banquet ticket? Will there be a long line at the exit with the Festival staff passing out the photos as diners leave?

Any ideas?

Goodness I have not been on here is so long  .Hope I remember how this all works. I cannot attend this year and I hope everyone has a wonderful time. I look forward to seeing you all in 2009 on the East coast if thats where they plan on having it. It's been a crazy year. Lots going on and let's say I feel like I've had some growing pains but things are looking up.
I miss all of you and will do my best to start posting more.
Special hello to Vlad if you are still on here!!

Hey, you sound like me Teresalita!  It's good to see the old familiar names again...I've been flitting in and out like a hyper active ghost myself  [ghost_blink] for awhile.  Seems I can never quite make it to the west coast fests due to one thing or another. So frustrating!  I have a short but much better track record with the east coast so, here's hoping for next year.  Glad things are looking up for you too.  (And another hi from me to Vlad too.)

I'm slowly trying to catch up on all I missed  I made one west coast fest and it was fun but I think I enjoy the east coast better. Maybe because I love NYC so much.
It always gets exciting as the fest draws near and hearing all the travel plans will put a bit of an ache in my heart but I can't wait to hear it anyway [ghost_grin]

Well, at the same time try to think of all the money you're saving by not traveling at this particular point in the country's economy. That could make your ache just a little bit less.  [ghost_cheesy]

It's depressing how many friends will not be attending this year.  Teresalita and CastleBee, noooooo!

But congratulations on your new job, CastleBee; I hope it's everything you could hope for.  And I'm glad things are looking up for you, Teresalita.  You deserve it!

have my receipt for the fest costs. When do they send out the tickets. Or do you just use the receipt?

Your receipt is your ticket. Be sure not to lose it -- that thing is gold! You need it to register on Friday, and you will also need it to get your banquet tickets. Even after you get your banquet tickets, hold on to it. You'll need it yet again at the actual banquet.

How easy is it to get a close seat? The sooner you get there the closer you get?

I am visually challanged to far back it would be a big blur.

Thanks for any help, just need the lay of the land.

Take Care.

Pretty much.  If you have a friend who can save seats for you, you can trade off waiting in line and seat-watching in shifts.  People with limited mobility and special needs generally get to sit in the front rows too.

I wanted to come up with a way for people that post here to know me. I didn't want to just put my screen name on a shirt. I asked about shirts for the forum and never heard anything back the forum owners. So I made a "Borgosi Drive-In" t-shirt. I wanted it to look kinda like a double feature ad from the 60's and early 70's. It was done free hand and I'm no artist, so there you go. If you see me say "Hi!" and maybe we can have a drink or hang out. Oh, it's the picture by my screen name.
May you die before you want too.
