Current Talk '02 II / Re: Let's Suppose?
« on: August 10, 2002, 06:14:20 AM »
Okay, I live in Maine, and this has actually happened to me, back in the 70's.  It was on the Foreside, a very upscale part of an upscale  town.  The door  knocked on was opened by a very nice lady wearing pendelton pants and a cashmere sweater. We drank tea and watched Upstairs/Downstairs while waiting for AAA.

Anticlimatic to be sure, but it was a nice way to wait out the wrecker.

I'd choose early 1897 with Judith, Edward, Quentin, Beth, Carl, Magda, Barnabas, and either Pansy or Jenny-- I can't decide.

This would be my list too, right down to not being able to decide between Pansy and Jenny.  On one hand, Jenny's hair and wide eyed look would be fun, on the other Pansy had really cool shoes, and remember when she whisked the table scarf off the occassional table in the drawing room and wrapped it around her shoulders(the Pansy/Charity version)?  Now there was a chick who could accessorize.

Also like your Quentin idea  :)

Which character do you think would make a good subject for psychoanalysis and why?

Quentin.   I would let him know how a certain conversation a certain someone who brought him to life had with me was Freudian as all hell.

Red Root Inn, anyone?

As for Amanda Harris:  there is so much animosity towards this character!  Why?

She sucks

Happy Birthday, Bob.  Is this the year you finally convince Nancy Barret to jump out of that cake?

3. What Angelique does to Beth.

Whch brings us to the most hilarious line ever uttered:

"You'll get over it, dear, everyone does"

Angelique saying this?  Angelique who kills everyone in sight and bops in an and out of hell over Barnabas?  She can't get over Barnabas, and she she expects someone to forget Quentin??????

Upon closer examination, I realized that this thread actually calls for the two most disturbing DS moments. So let me add to my original remarks:

(1) Amanda Harris
(2) Olivia Corey

And Sheenasma will back me up on this.

I started reading this thread, and had the exact same thing to say....just a dollar short here, agin!

Here it is, the much anticipated Minja Afterglow Picture.  This was actually over 24 hours after....she was really glowing.

And here is one of me taken at the same time, that answers the age old question, is there anything more ridiculous than a middle aged woman wearing black patent leather Mary Janes.......

......and the answer is, yes, a middle aged woman wearing black patent leather Mary Janes, looking like a slut.
