Bert Convy!!!!  Doesn't work for me either.  Would Barnabas Collins have worn a perm instead of spiked bangs?   Ewww.

Onyx Treasure, I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in saying I'd love to see photos of the old estate you mention.  My reason for not attempting to post my photos (besides the fact that I don't have the capabilities) is the fact that this is a private residence -- that is something you may need to consider, too

Vlad,
I have a newspaper article of the house with pictures, address, and asking price.  However, the house is now a private residence.  I know who lives there now but would never violate their privacy.  I would blank out the address.  This house is a local legend.  I heard through the neighborhood grapevine that it has been a money pit for the new owners.  I live in an old house so they have my sympathy.

Happy Birthday, Luciaphil.
Your column is such a joy to read.  I wish I could give you a present.  I knit shawls, hats, mittens, slippers, and scarves.  I crochet doilies and floating afghans.  Let me know.  By the way, I could probably knit a better voodoo doll than Angelique but I would require more time than a commercial break.

Vlad,

I am sorry you did not get the apartment but who knows maybe it was for the best.  Perhaps, the apartment may become available again.
I also have a "Collinwood" look-a-like in my neighborhood.  When I moved to Maine 14 years ago, I found it on a walk through my new neighborhood.  It had been abandoned by the family because of disputes about the inheritance.  The name of the property is The Gutmann estate.  It was finally sold in 1992 or 1993.  I have a very yellow newspaper article with pictures, if anyone is interested.  It would also be easy for me to take new photos.

Awwww, Ringo   Polly looks just like a teddy bear.  I just love your photo with Sir Paul.  Did you remember to kiss his ring?

Fashion notes first . . .

So the werewolf goes most of the night, jumping from balconies/scaling rocks/running from the police and armed gypsies and clothing is perfectly intact, but yet, Quentin wakes up and they're in tatters. Gotta wonder.

"Luciaphil

Isn't this before clothes were mass produced?  Does Quentin go to Judith and borrow money for more clothes?  Maybe, Quentin should shed his nice clothes before the change and save his tailor all that work.

Thank you so much, Luciaphil.  I have not seen the 6000 flowers on the wall episode.  Good Gawd, that must have been a sight.  Did anybody cry in that one?  Dez was just plain crazy!  I am so glad the neighbors prevented her from painting the fireplace purple.  I live in a 1920 house we have been working on for 13 years and I would prefer to weld my fireplace shut than to allow some knuckle head paint my bricks purple.

Hi Luciaphil,
Is Hildi Santo-Thomas the one who glued moss to someone's walls or the one who wanted to paint someone's fireplace purple but settled for purple harlequin diamonds on the walls?
I have a favor to ask.  Could you try to mention the color of the outfits?  I can remember most of the ladies outfits if a color is mentioned.  Your critique of the clothes is one of my favorite parts of your column.  Thank-you so much for your splendid column.:-*

Ringo,
What a great picture!  She looks as good as when she first popped out of that bottle for Maj. Nelson.

Just one question...

What's snow?

:::ducking for cover:::

Midnite,
Go to Disneyland and get on the ride "Its a Small World".  They have a sweet and corny version of snow complete with squeeky electronic Eskimo children.  When you exit the ride, you step back into beautiful California weather.  From a former California girl who now lives in Maine.

Surprise du jour: Jenny rated a church wedding. Of course, I notice we aren't given a denomination, but still given Quentin's proclivities, seems an odd sort of thing for him to do.
Luciaphil

The sister of a friend of mine got married in the free-spirited seventies.  A line of their vows was changed from "as long as we both shall live" to "as long as we both shall love".  I think Quentin would have loved those vows.

Soundtrack by Todd Rundgren
[did you know Todd really did the music for PW's PH?

Ringo,
Was this for his HBO special or for the CBS series?

Ps.  Cut back a little on Prof. Stokes stash or don't mix it with caffiene.  What a riot,  I had to read it twice.

Cassandra,

Yes, that is the one.  But I just checked the Pax web site and Quincy isn't listed.  Is this a show they plan on airing in the future?  Could you please elaborate?  I really miss the "Quinster" and would be eternally grateful to you for any information!  Thanks.  [wavey]

HappyBat,
My cable company carries Fox Net. which has "Quincey, M.E." on at 3pm EST everyweek day.  Check your cable listings to see if your cable company carries this channel and what number it is under.  I hope this helps.

Happy Birthday, Lindsey!
Sorry to hear you were under the weather for your b.d and do hope you feel better soon.  At least with strep throat you can take antibiotics.  Cake, ice cream, and antibiotics.  Yum.

Perish the thought!! [lghy]

But LW already runs on a lot of PBS stations, so we can only hope they have an exclusive contract with whatever outfit holds the LW rights, and that PBS will continue to renew their contract so that the 24-hour Lawrence Welk channel never becomes a reality. [wink2]

Oh this is so funny, the only reason I mentioned Lawrence Welk is prior to my posting I saw it on our PBS channel.  I remember how upset my grandmother was when "The Lawrence Welk Show" went off the air.  Well, she probably gets to see the show live since both she and Mr. Welk are in the same place.  Of course for her at least, that would be heaven.
