That surprises me. I always figured that that was only to check for crude usernames or duplicate email addresses; I had no idea there was a thorough vetting process. Technically, though, Lee's account is the thousandth to sign up, not the thousandth member. The way I see it, if your account wasn't approved, you're not a member.

In response to Taeylor, Jonathan Frid posts occasionally; that's all I know of.

I'm typing this on something that handles the quote feature incredibly poorly due to sticking the quotes in the wrong place and lacking copy/paste functionality (and it's not the board's fault; this thing just doesn't have it on any site).

@MB: Exactly.

@Comments about the actors signing up, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing that info.

Anyway, I must thank everyone who provided coverage of the Fest, though I am disappointed with a few things, notably the fact that we have practically no new information about the movie. But the fact that HoDS and NoDS are nearing release on DVD is far better news than anything I got from this year's E3.

Once in a great while, a member will re-register for some reason.  In these cases, help is offered to get them back on track, at which point the duplicate account is deleted.

Deleting difficult members is not necessary with all the other options for dealing with problematic behaviors at our disposal.

JvJjr, you make some interesting points, but if Kajun DC was like me and only wanted to go (back) to a Fest if JF was there, then that may explain why he may not be that gung ho to go back anytime soon.....it certainly can get expensive, one reason I opted not to go, though my kids could both have benefitted from the trip (NOT to the DS Fest)....
