       And that's probably true - but if it had happened, then there would have been a big part of the Wuthering Heights motif missing.

Well, the back story between Daphne and Gerard fizzled out quickly and David Selby's health crisis pretty much derailed anything there. Morgan and Kendrick are committed elsewhere, Brutus is a ghost and Gabriel is certifiable. So, who else does that leave for Daphne? Ben Stokes?

(  True - but I suspect they always intended Daphne to be the Cathy Linton in the adaptation, even though she was Catherine's sister and not her daughter (which would have been fascinating - can't you just see Lara Parker's face after she learns Kate Jackson would play her daughter!!    )
