A DS Reference In Another Film Review
« on: December 29, 2005, 02:56:23 AM »
And the visual this one presents is nothing short of hysterically funny.  [stfl]

Firecracker also does a good job of showing how hard it is for David Lynch to do what he does. It isn't easy to mix natural and caricaturish acting styles or to get dramatic effect out of dialogue that sounds like it was written for that unfilmed episode of Dark Shadows where Barnabas Collins rides a lawnmower across Iowa.

To read the entire review (much of which is quite funny), check out: Kansas Chaos - 'Firecracker' is not nearly as clever as it wants to be
(Incidentally, the film stars DC favorite Karen Black, who once again plays dual characters, one of which is in the process of losing her mind. Such a departure for Ms. Black.  [b003])
