What a surprise to see birthday wishes for me. Rarely check the forums much anymore but think I should restart. Miss Dark Shadows very much but at least can watch the DVD's and see my Willie. ;) Carol[/i]

Go to: www.bookreporter.com for an interview with S. E. Hinton and how she came about to write Hawke's Harbor.

Thank you one and all. It's nice to know that I'm still wanted here on the list since I do more lurking than posting nowadays.  As always, lots going on in my life--working more hours than usual at derm office; picking up per diem work at other offices; still writing but moving into mainstream/ contemporary/chicklit stories(writing my first chicklit novel now! became a member of Romance Writer's Assoc); have a DS story in last year's Karlenzine and one will be in the latest The World of Dark Shadows; my eye is still doing well but the cataract that occured during last surgery is becoming "ripe"--I have a constant "smudge" in that eye that won't go away--but surgery to remove it is debatable. I am not a good candidate for cataract surgery because the manipulation to eye may cause another detached retina!  I did go on a 2 short vacations, tho--one to Cape May, NJ and Newport, RI with a stop at Mohegan Sun. And,daughter grad from 2 year college with Assoc Degree in Early Childhood Educ in Dec & she's waiting to see where she's going in the fall to get BS degree in Elem Educ. She's living at home now, taking 3 courses at local CC and working PT in an After School program.  It's been nice having her home, tho.  Hubby is still retired and loving it!  We still plan to move to Las Vegas sometime in the future but getting daughter done with school and settled is our primary concern. So that's about it. I definitely will try to get here more often to see what all the latest DS talk is about.  Thanx for thinking of me.

    Love and much friendship, Carol

Birdie, wait till you hit your 50's--more things start to go! You walk around with stick-um's to remind you what you have to do next.

The pix of everyone were marvelous to see. Went to Newport this past weekend. Ate at the Black Pearl, walked along the Cliff Walk and went up  a gravel driveway until I was in Collinwood's back yard!! Took lots of pix, too.

Great news, Mark! Congratulations! You give all of us fan fiction writers a look at the big time.

Well, this is good news but I'll keep my Yahoo address since I use both Yahoo and Roadrunner emails anyway.

As far as where most of the living DS actors live.

Where do the ones who are not living live?  ;D

Not to be morbid but---six feet under?

Arts and craft skills come in handy during those long months at Wyndcliff Sanitarium/Rehabilitation Center for the Criminally Insane/Resort Spa for Mindless Imbibers who see Dead People.
Pearl one, knit two.

The only good thing that seems to have happened is that David and Hallie are employing useful arts and crafts skills which will guide them well throughout their lives.

I saw this in today's newspaper. It is for the librarians in our midst.

PS. I hope this attachment comes thru Midnight. If not, let me know what I am doing wrong.

PPS: Thanx so much Midnight and Dom for your help. I just thought this article was
         a hoot!
